The Artist Profile Archive Online multi-media platform featuring short documentaries on contemporary artists.

The Artist Profile Archive is an on-line database of videos on contemporary artists. These artist profiles, each under 10 minutes, show artists speaking about their work, their educational background, their sources of inspiration, their artistic practice, and more, in their own words, from their own studios or from a gallery or museum exhibiting their work. Educational, informative and entertaining, these videos also serve as an historical record of contemporary artists.

Opening today is “Abstraction as Legacy” which highlights the breadth of abstraction in American art. One of the featured artists is Virginia Jaramillo, who is part of the legacy of American abstract art with a career spanning over six decades. Show ends October 18.

Now on view in Venice, Italy is the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, “In Minor Keys” curated by the late Koyo Kouoh. The exhibition which expands upon Koyo’s relational geography of encounters with artists over her lifetime features 110 invited participants including Billie Zangewa. Show ends November 22.

Marking ’s 50th anniversary, the group exhibit “Begin Again: 50 Years and Counting” celebrates their artist commissions and exhibitions including work by Alice Aycock. The show highlights the Missouri sculpture park’s unique position at the intersection of public art and the natural world. Exhibit closes December 13.

Alice’s work is also a part of the group exhibition “Everything That Happens Will Happen Today” , a graduate student-curated exhibition. Show closes May 24.

Now on view New York is Walter Robinson’s “Let the Music Play” exhibition. The show focuses on Walter’s later paintings including work from his Still Life, Normcore, Romance, and Nurses series. Exhibit closes June 6.

Opening today is “Manoucher Yektai: The Stranger and the Tree,” the artist’s first solo museum exhibition in the United States. Yektai was a founding member of the New York School and major figure in abstract expressionism, and this exhibit brings together thirty paintings created between 1948 and 1963, revealing his stylistic evolution. Show ends November 22.
