The circular stated that, in light of the current conditions in the country and the region, and to ensure the smooth functioning of work while facilitating procedures for applicants, it has been decided to process transactions for such expatriates based on their extended passports.

Vice President JD Vance said on Friday he was looking forward to having positive negotiations with Iran as he left for talks in Pakistan with a warning to Tehran not to “play us.”

“We’re looking forward to the negotiation. I think it’s going to be positive,” Vance told reporters before leaving Washington.

“As the president of the United States said, if the Iranians are willing to negotiate in good faith, we’re certainly willing to extend the open hand,” Vance said. “If they’re going to try to play us, then they’re going to find the negotiating team is not that receptive.”

Kuwait's Public Authority for Civil Aviation on Thursday denied circulating claims about resuming flights at Kuwait International Airport, confirming that no official approvals have been issued and the airport remains closed.

The authority's official spokesperson Abdullah Al-Rajhi said that a social media post, attributed to an airline, falsely reported the restart of flights from Kuwait International Airport.

Al-Rajhi stressed the information is incorrect, noting that no approvals have been granted to date and urging the public to verify information through official sources and avoid unreliable online reports.

He reaffirmed the DGCA's commitment to transparency, adding that updates will be announced through its official communication channels.

The DGCA had announced on February 28 the temporary closure of Kuwaiti airspace to aircraft and passengers due to regional political and security developments. The measure was taken as a precaution to safeguard passengers, airlines and airport operations against potential risks.
