This song tells the tale of lovers who drifted apart due to relationship issues but seemingly still attached and unable to move on. Hence, desiring the partner's love, care, attention and affection. It highlights the hidden struggles we humans face when it comes to relationship issues, hurts, heartbreaks and moving on, as the feeling to keep holding on usually lingers (sometimes longer than we would like or want it to). Yet, it ends with a glimpse of hope of light at the end of the dark and tumultuous tunnel, which in this case is the relationship.
