무용예술인의 권익신장과 무용계 발전 및 무용예술의 대중화를 위하여 1961년 창립된 사단법인 대한무용협회는 서울에 본부를 두고 전국 지방 지회 및 지부와 해외 지부를 설치하여 지역 무용예술 발전에 기여하고 있습니다.

본회에서 주최하는 사업은 전국 초·중·고등학생무용콩쿠르, 전국신인무용경연대회, 코리아국제현대무용콩쿠르, 젊은안무자창작공연, 전국무용제, 서울무용제, 대한민국무용대상 등이 있습니다.
