OBJECTIVE
Our principle goal to is to establish a warm and welcoming environment for the dialog between faculty and student community. By this, we hope to contribute to the enhancement of student – professor as well as Korean – International student interaction at KAIST. We believe that the stronger the sense of community, the stronger KAIST would be. We plan to organize weekly discussion-lectur
es by invited academicians. The topics for these discussions are not firmly fixed and so, the themes can vary based on field of study, interests, future aspiration, current news and so on. The most important piece of these lectures would be the “discussion part”, as we would like to give emphasis on the communication between the faculty and students
2. Alongside conducting lectures, we plan to organize small-scale events such as homemade food parties, musical performances, cultural activities, sports competitions or picnics. Participation of in these activities would provide a good setting for interaction between Korean and International students, getting to know the cultures of one another.
3. Also, we plan to organize weekly discussion sessions for student members of the club. These sessions would be similar to debates in format, with teams playing in support of two different opinions. Accurate, logical and smart argumentation is one of the building blocks in the process of becoming an intellectual.
