FINALLY. The day I’ve been waiting on for a long time has come. The dress I’ve been working on during the summer has finally walked the catwalk and I can now show you the final result of my work. As you may know I entered the competition arranged by . And after a visit to stockholm at I selected my sponsored fabric. Then the work began. I decided to work in a lovely velvet with a beautiful depth to it and a tulle fabric where I created flowers and embroidered golden threads and beads to the skirt.

In the beginning of the summer, right after graduation I entered a competition arranged by to represent Sweden at the congress. Me and another designer/tailor won. So now my piece is one of two contribution on their way to Busan in South Korea and I’m excited to have my design and hand made piece on the runway next week. A wool suit made for a lovely costumer earlier this year. This one was a challenge during the cutting phase due to a small amount of fabric. But with some thinking and some moving around I manage do get a whole suit out of 2,7 m fabric.

Välkomna att träffa på Bente Payter, en av våra yngre medlemmar i förbundet som är en av två utvalda att få representera Sverige på den internationella modevisningen i Sydkorea i september. Så här tänker hon om projektet:

”Inspirationen till min design rotar sig i min ideologi och övertygelse att klassiskt är hållbart. Att utstråla elegans och att skapa mångsidighet är nyckeln i mitt uttryck. Att nu ges möjligheten att dela min vision inte minst med Sverige utan även många skräddare världen över, är jag tacksam för. Jag bemöter projektet med stor energisk inställning och bär en stolthet att få representera mig själv och Sverige på den internationella scenen.”
