Lkhon Khol is a ritual performed by men wearing masks to the accompaniment of a traditional orchestra and melodious recitation to propitiate the Neak Ta (guardian spirits), thereby protecting and bringing prosperity to the community, its lands and harvest. It is one of the three UNESCO intangible cultural heritage expressions performed in “Mozart at Angkor, A Cambodia Magic Flute”.
