Girl Power Clubs Africa A leadership movement to help girls claim their rightful space as key agents of change

Girl Power Clubs Africa is a fast growing leadership movement that trains teenage girls to become agents of positive change in their communities through entrepreneurship, sport, culture, art and dance. Girls are an integral part of the youth which comprises over half of Kenya’s population. However, the recognition of girls as important change agents is often neglected, thereby stunting the develop

ment of a valuable and even talented human resource. Although most young people experience challenges getting into leadership, girls face an even tougher regime not only due to culture and other societal norms but also because they lack opportunities to garner resource mobilization and entrepreneurship skills. Empowered girls gain the voice to make better choices and ultimately contribute to gender equity within society.
