The Change Africa Volun-tourism( CAV) is a program that will give you an opportunity to experience Kenya and Botswana like a true insider, starting with orientation to the culture and indigeneous languages lessons which include cultural activities like dance and music.

This is a great introduction to Botswana and Kenya as you learn things that will help you get the most of your time for example you will learn what is considered offensive to a local person and yet not offensive to you.

Its goals include:

-to provide an international environment (mixture of different African cultures ), that provides tolerance of differences in cultural and social background.
-to provide voluntary/ charitable services that benefit the less privileged sections of the communities in Africa.
-to create an opportunity by which people with voluntary spirit may work together with communities in rural areas
-to provide experimental group life, breaking down the linguistic and cultural barriers between world nations.
-to create an understanding of differences and an appreciation of others.

The projects under CAV include:
- Environmental management projects
- Renovation and restoration of historical monuments
- cultural exchange
- social work with or for Children, refugees, handicapped/disabled people, the elderly e.t.c

Majority of the projects are in rural areas and National Parks that will give the participants the opportunity to experience the wilderness and life of African people.

“The knowledge and experience that you learn from this program will be the result of your own efforts and what you make of it”

cultural exchange is of key importance in reducing cultural barriers and expounding on different community practices hence increasing knowledge on specific misunderstood way of life around the world.
One of KOCII's projects includes carrying out a survey and filming a program also known as "Home Away From Home" where by individuals from different countries come and experience day to day life in different Kenyan homesteads especially in the rural regions.

KOCII's main aim is to reduce cultural barriers and also improve living standards through carrying out of projects in identified areas of the country. We wish to make Kenya not only a sight seeing destination but also a place that people can call home. By carrying out home staying projects we wish to eliminate language barrier cultural differences and also layout a platform that will enable those who take part to experience first hand what it is and feels like to live on a day to day basis with the families involved. We aim to create a challenge that will not only prove that the individuals grow to learn ,appreciate and understand each other but also prove that no matter what race or tribe one is :WE AT THE END OF THE DAY DESPITE SPEAKING DIFFERENT LANGUAGES ARE ALL EQUAL,ALL THE SAME AND OUGHT TO BA ABLE TO SHARE OUR DIFFERENT CULTURES WITHOUT HAVING PROBLEMS. Help make a difference in society..
Any Feedback:thoughts and contributions, ideas are highly appreciated..
Thank you wonderful people have a blessed week;-)
