Whimsy Threads I grew up learning needle work from my mum and grandmother. My love remain in hand quilting, hand appliqué and embroidery.

Started quilting much later in life, adapted all styles of quilting and now an Accredited Quilt Teacher from South Africa.

With lots of beautiful quilts to see, the meeting was absolute joy to attend. Temperature quilts by Charlotte and Bunty were the same concept yet so different. Traditional Kawandi is a beautiful Indian quilting style! It Originated in Gujarat, India by the African Siddis. A beautiful Technique using old fabric scraps and Simple running stitches. You can also use any decorative stitches. It’s a very functional quilts for everyday use
