Moses exposure as a prince enabled him to stand before him before Pharaoh when time came.

David exposure to the palaces of more than 3 kings (Tyre, Moab and Philistines) enabled him to have a vast knowledge in architecture, thus he handed to Solomon the blueprint of the temple and the treasuries.

Saul's exposure (in Greek) to the Pharisees and Pilate enabled him to minister to the gentiles (both small and mighty) when time came.

What we are exposed to will one day come in handy.
Nothing is wasted. May we learn and prepare for where God is calling us to.

Work of the Levites (1st Chronicles 23:28-32):

Moses gave the instructions on how the Priesthood was to be ran but now since God was giving the children rest and settlement, there were some changes that were bound to happen.

The years under judges and King Saul had made the people forget their place however when David was almost dying he set up systems that stood the test of time till when The HIgh Priest, Yeshua was born.

Zechariah the father of John the Baptist descended from the lineage of Abia (Abijah, meaning God is father). Who was one of the priests who got a ministry role in 1st Chronicles 24.

David said, the LORD has given rest to his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem forever. Unto the Levites; they shall no more carry the tabernacle for ever.

The work of the Levites who were 20 years and above included:
1. Bake the showbread, for all manner of measure and size.
2. Stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD
3. Offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbath and all feasts
4. Keep charge of the tabernacle of the congregation
5. Keep charge of the holy place
6. Charge the sons of Aaron, their brethren, in the service of the LORD.

Today we are no longer making sacrifices of bull and goats for the great sacrifice has been made. Now that we are called to walk under the Priest who has no End, Jesus we have to do the following:

1. We need to prepare ourselves, studying to show ourselves approved so that we may be equipped for every good work. We need to have Jesus in us, His Word being the bread of life should abound in our hearts so that our souls may not yearn for the junk that never satisfies. We need to be prepared in the Word, in all seasons.

2. We need to every morning remember to thank and praise God. May God forgive us for forgetting to do this.

3. To offer our bodies as living sacrifices unto the LORD not only on sabbaths' but everyday. May God forgive us for using our bodies in immorality and debauchery.

4. Keep charge of our bodies, which are the temple of the Holy Spirit, so that our flesh may not overrun our spirit. May we feed the Spirit man so that we may not walk in the flesh.

5. Watch our hearts, keep charge of our hearts because from it the issues of life stream. May we Guard our hearts for strongholds take root if our hearts remain unchecked.

6. Keep charge of our brethren in the LORD, that they will not tire in the service of the LORD. May we remember that the struggles we are facing, are not isolated to us. Our brethren are also facing challenges. May we walk with our brothers in the faith.

God is our shield and reward
Abram's hard questions to the Lord about how the lofty promises of uncountable descendants and possession of the land will be kept. God responds, in part, by formalizing His covenant promises to Abram with an elaborate ritual. He also reveals to Abram details about the difficult circumstances his descendants will face before they come back to take possession of the land ''in the fourth generation.'
God's first words to Abram are reassurance: Don't be afraid. I am your shield. Your reward will be great. The following verses make it clear that Abram did indeed have questions about how God would keep the enormous promises He had made to Abram. God addresses Abram's emotions: It is safe to set aside your fear. I will serve as your shield, your protection against harm. The reward will be worth the wait.
Given that Abram had been called by God at the age of seventy-five (Genesis 12:4), and had not yet had any children, his concern is understandable. Abram is not necessarily questioning God's ability, but he is asking God for more details on how God plans to accomplish His purposes.
When we pursue and follow God, we are protected and we are cared for. Lets cast all our anxieties, questions to God for He has a good plan for us.

Sin strips us of confidence.
But the grace of God is our source of confidence.

Overwhelmed with shame after disobeying God, by eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, Adam and Eve attempted to hide from God. This was foolish, of course. These first humans had never sinned, had never thought to hide from God. And yet, they should have known, that such a thing is not possible.

When God asked where Adam was, Adam's response was that he hid because he was afraid and naked. Once again, God asks a question He knows the answer to in order to force Adam to admit his own actions. He demands an explanation of who told Adam of his nakedness. Had they disobeyed Him?

All these centuries later, each of us can relate to this moment at a fundamental level. We all know what it is to give in to temptation, to sin, to be caught, and to face the question about what we have done. Because sin entered into the world, this is a foundational human experience being played out for the first time.

When we sin, may we not blame others like Adam did. May we admit our sin, for He is faithful and just to forgive our sin when we confess.
