Don't let offense become the altar where your destiny dies.

Forgive.
Release.
Heal.
Move on.

Some blessings are waiting on the other side of letting go. Protect your peace, guard your heart, and trust God with what you cannot change.

•‎Family Orientation Guide 😅🤦🏽‍♀️:

‎Listen and listen carefully....

‎If you’re planning to date/marry me or any other person with a disability, please brief the family in advance. Don’t ambush them with my presence like it’s a plot twist in a Zambian Telenovela 😭😂..Show them my pictures.
‎Explain the situation. Issue a memo. Send a voice note. a family newsletter. send a watsapp broadcast if you must, whatever works because what we’re NOT going to do is to walk in and have Auntie gasp like she’s seen a ghost instead of a fine, confident man with four legs 🦵🦵🩼🩼😅

‎I’m here to meet the family, not to resurrect their blood pressure or cause a family gathering. People are still learning!!! see the person before the disability and that’s okay...But we will assist them , gently or with a PowerPoint Presentation if necessary 😂. At the end of the day, I’m a full human being, A whole blessing, Certified husband material just with four legs 🦵🦵🩼🩼 and extra personality to compensate. So Prepare the environment and let me enter with peace, not dramatic sound affects

‎A question someone asked me years ago has never really left my mind.

‎I was heading home from school with my classmates when a young girl looked at me and asked:

‎“Kelvin, are your parents disabled too?”

‎Back then, i only saw the question as offensive. But with time, i began to understand that many people simply don’t know better.

‎That moment made me start researching and learning more about certain conditions. I discovered that some are hereditary or genetic, while others can happen because of birth complications, infections during pregnancy, lack of oxygen at birth, premature delivery, fake drugs, or other medical factors.

‎For me, it was birth complications. My parents are perfectly healthy. Yaani wako sawa kabisa

‎But whether a condition is genetic, hereditary, or medical, one thing should never change: our humanity as people with living disabilities.

‎Meanwhile, some questions from people may trigger pain, but they can also open the door to awareness and education.

‎That is why some of us have decided to speak up — not because we owe anyone explanations, but because silence allows ignorance to grow.

‎At the end of the day, understanding begins when people are willing to learn.

‎Shalom ✨✨

‎If you're a mother with a child with a disability, please read this carefully...

‎I know there are times when you feel like keeping your child away from people is the easiest thing to do. Maybe you are tired of the stares, and whispers. Maybe you are tired of explaining. Maybe you are tired of people who don't understand.

‎But remember this: your child deserves more than being protected from people's opinions. They also deserve opportunities to experience life, be happy and create memories.

‎Once in a while take them for a walk. Visit places. Travel if possible. Sit somewhere new together. Let them feel the fresh air, hear laughter, meet people, and enjoy the little moments that make life meaningful.

‎It doesn't have to be something big. Sometimes the smallest experiences become the memories we hold closest to our hearts.

‎Your child is not someone who should be hidden because they are different. They are a person with feelings, abilities, and a unique story. They deserve love, acceptance, and the chance to be part of everyday life.

‎And this is something society needs to understand: inclusion is not just about allowing children with disabilities to be present. It is about creating spaces where they feel welcomed, respected, and valued.

‎To everyone who sees a child with a disability, remember this: behind that child is a parent doing their best. A little kindness, patience, and acceptance can give a family the courage to keep showing up.

‎Because every child deserves happiness. Every child deserves love. And every child deserves to know that they have a place where they are seen, valued, and accepted.

‎I hope this piece brings clarity.

‎What are your thoughts and how often do you take your child out?

READ TO THE END. THE LAST PART IS WHERE THE LESSON IS👇👇👇

BE YOURSELF... BUT DON'T HIDE YOURSELF.

We often hear people say, "Just be yourself." That's good advice. But here's another truth many people don't talk about:

Sometimes, you have to let people see what you're doing.

Many of us work tirelessly behind closed doors. We put in the late nights, make sacrifices, learn new skills, solve difficult problems, and quietly chase our goals. While there's nothing wrong with working in silence, don't expect people to celebrate achievements they don't even know exist.

The world can only recognize what it sees.

This doesn't mean you should become fake, arrogant, or seek validation from everyone. It simply means you shouldn't hide your value. Let your work be visible. Share your progress. Speak up when necessary. Showcase your results. Visibility is not always pride, it can be wisdom.

Think about it: two people can be equally talented, equally hardworking, and equally deserving. The difference is that one allows their work to be seen, while the other keeps everything hidden. More often than not, the visible person gets the opportunities, the recommendations, the promotions, and the recognition.

A little "eye service" isn't always a bad thing. Sometimes it's simply good presentation. It's good branding. It's making sure your efforts don't remain invisible.

Be authentic. Be humble. But don't disappear into the background hoping people will magically notice your value.

Work hard behind the scenes—but every now and then, open the curtains and let the world see the masterpiece you're creating.

Because, recognition doesn't always go to the hardest worker. Sometimes, it goes to the person who made sure their hard work could be seen.
