Today, what happened between some Tala and Kangundo artists crossed the line. Fighting each other kills the very culture weโ€™re trying to build. It puts talent, fans, and the future of these events at risk.

I condemn the violence. Music and rap battles are about bars, not fists. We can compete hard on stage and still respect each other off it.

To every artist: your talent is what matters. Letโ€™s keep the platform clean so we can all grow. Tala and Kangundo are stronger together.

If you have issues, address them with words on the mic, not violence in the streets. Iโ€™m still here to support real talent โ€” but not this.

Message to Tala & Kangundo Artists and Fans

Last year I hosted the Kangundo Street Rap Battle. This year we went bigger with Tala vs Kangundo. The turnout was heavy, and thatโ€™s because of you โ€” the talent, the energy, the culture.

Iโ€™ve always believed in giving artists a platform. This event was meant to celebrate skill, creativity, and healthy competition between our towns.

To the fans who brought the noise, to the Tala artists who represented heavy, and to the one brave artist from Kangundo who showed up alone and still held it down (PINCHEZ MNARE) . you are real ones.
