🎨 ARTSploration Scholarship Program (September–December 2026)

Now Open for Applications!

The Artists with Tyra is offering scholarship slots for aspiring artists of all ages who love drawing and painting and want to improve their skills. Whether you are a beginner or already practicing art, you are welcome to apply.

If you have the passion to learn but do not have the financial means to attend art school, this may be for you. Selected scholars will study for FREE, while the regular full program costs USD 130–150.

🖌 Classes will be conducted live via Zoom, where students can interact directly with the teacher, ask questions, and receive live feedback during classes.

📅 Application deadline: July 05, 2026
📚 Classes begin: September 2026
🏅 Certificates will be awarded upon successful completion of the program.

Applicants must have their own basic art materials and a device for online learning.

Frequently asked questions: Where do you buy your art materials and painting stuff?

We don’t buy them brand new, but rather, we got preowned materials that are still in good condition from second hand or recycle shops. Mercari also sells very cheap art materials. Check this one out: Sakura Acryl Gouache normally costs ¥1,500+ tax per box, but this is a great steal.

💙 Where little imaginations grow big dreams.❤️

The winter camp our very own Teacher Tyra facilitated was filled with laughter, creativity, and endless imagination! 🌈🎨

The camp aimed to boost creativity, spark imagination, and develop leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship in every child.

From art-filled activities to collaborative games and playful challenges, the students never ran out of fun things to explore. Each day encouraged self-expression, cooperation, and confidence — all while learning through joy and play.

This meaningful project was made possible through Mirai Minds and Kohana International School.

Every year, this one-week program is offered to children ages 3–8, creating beautiful memories and strong foundations for creative growth.

For today’s first session of the Artsploration Program, we started with pen & ink (black & white) drawing to teach the importance of shadows and lights on black and white to make the subject come to life. We also reviewed and learned the proper discipline of strokes and lines creation and making complicated drawing easier by focusing on the basic shapes that make up the subject.

Next class will be a follow up practice of the same medium, to make students slowly get used to line drawings & shadings and further develop discipline in their artworks.
