Happy 250th birthday to the country where both I and were born and raised, and which taught me and so many to dream of and hold dear the ideals of democracy, liberty, and equality for all. Where our country is at this precise moment of its 250th birthday may be quite far from those ideals, but we can and will (and must!) do better from here on to live up to and truly embody them. That’s my birthday wish for my home country, the USA. 🙏🏼🇺🇸

What an incredible experience getting to exhibit and sell my indie fantasy card game at this spring! A tiny indie publisher like me could never have made this trip on my own (especially with this being my first time selling internationally and navigating duties, international taxes, and so on), so it was amazing to do this as part of Washington state’s trade mission led by our Secretary of State Steve Hobbs. Thank you so much to him and his amazing staff for this amazing booth/opportunity and for supporting boardgame companies big and small in our state! Office of Secretary of State

🎊 Introducing the main characters of the GADIA novel series! 🎊 As today is the shared birthday of two of the main characters of the GADIA novels, I figured we could take a break from the LoG Japan trade mission reports to introduce the main characters you’ll soon meet in Book 1 of GADIA, especially as we have these beautiful character sketches by our brilliant LoG Character Artist Cyvii (aka Rei at Rei (Cinvrei) )! She kindly drew these in the week before I left for Japan so I could share some info in Japanese to the companies I was meeting with there as well as Japanese game fans at Tokyo Game Market who were interested in the overarching series. So I figured this auspicious day of our main hero’s (and his biggest rival’s) birth was a good one to introduce them publicly on here too~

As the Japanese say, “douzou yoroshiku onegaishimasu!” (“Please treat them well!” They’re my old, old friends whom I’ve waited a very long time to introduce to you all 💖). And what an adventure they’re gonna bring us on~~

A fun little series of photos I took at — the individual Legends of Gadia cards at the various “Ports of Call” in the park that match their own cultural background in the world of Phiro. Didn’t quite get to all 12 of the Legends in the game (and I did cheat with The Swordmaster — I took that pic outside the park in the beautiful Toyosu historical shopping street in Tokyo), but overall, it was fun to figure out which characters would suit which of the beautiful, vibrant lands throughout the amazing DisneySea park~
