We finally caught up with dream-pop musician Marina Yozora. Marina is one of a growing number of rising artists straddling the JP/International music scene. From her live shows in Tokyo last we met, her journey has since taken on sweeping performances in London, Glasgow, Manchester, Rome, and Lisbon.

With captivating, wistful singles such as "Daffodil" and the recently released "Touché" under her belt, we can't wait to see where her journey takes her in 2026.

Featuring "Currents", the lastest title by Tokyo-based musician Ananda Jacobs. Currents is an atmospheric masterpiece with a movie that sets oceanside cliffs as the center stage for an ethereal vocal and violin performance. Standing tall with otherworldly confidence in front of a crashing sea, Ananda Jacob's voice is one that carries and guides beyond the unknown.

Stunning cinematography, a wardrobe that would make "Dune" producers envious, and the emergence of a new mystical warrior/ heroine make this one to watch.

Anastasiya Hamaguchi is a Tokyo-based portrait photographer working at the intersection of digital and analog. She has shown in Tokyo and Kyoto and continues to develop her presence - with haunting works that fade in and out like apparitions.

Her practice spans small, medium, and large-format film, darkroom black & white prints, cyanotype, liquid light, gum bichromate, and collage-based works.

Story –
“Hours”

“Hours” began in 2019 as a song about a long-distance relationship, holding the hope and ache of time stretched across oceans. As the world shifted during COVID, its meaning deepened, becoming a meditation on how we keep connections alive across distance. Over time, “Hours” has evolved through many forms, shaped by live performances and collaborations with different musicians and producers, each version carrying a new shade of its story.
The single is also released as a limited-run cassette featuring three exclusive alternate versions and original artwork by Selkie, available at shows in Japan and worldwide via Bandcamp.

Out now on Bandcamp—digital and limited cassette.

Layered voices drift over shimmering synths, textures unfolding slowly. Time stretches and hesitates, carrying the hush and the ache of distance, before blossoming into a wide, emotive swell.
After two early singles and a year of live performances, Hours marks Selkie’s emergence: intimate yet expansive, quiet yet infinite.

Biography
-

ARUMA JIRO was born in Kamakura in 1970. He was raised in an environment surrounded by art. He became influenced by his mother, a painter of dark works, and
grew up surrounded by the sea and nature of Kamakura.
He encountered painting as a psychotherapy when he was suffering from a mental development disorder.
He has since won awards at outsider art competitions overseas (Wuhan, China, Seoul, Korea, etc.).
He has established a unique style of miniature paintings that use a sense of humor and satire on society.
He currently lives a peaceful life with his partner and Yorkshire terrier, with his work in art and maintenance and management of public facilities.

Exhibition Information
The First solo exhibition by the international award-winning satire artist, ARUMA JIRO.
Titled -TOLERANT PLANTS-, it will feature 15 large F40 size works and nearly 30 F6 size works from his artistic career spanning over 10 years.
In addition attendees may enjoy a screening of a video at the gallery, featuring the artist's unique production process.

Distributed artist products available at the gallery will consist of printed works, a book of a collection of works, and sale of a collection of essays (Japanese).

I believe in the power of nature and art.
Recently the world has been full of anger.

A giant wave arrives, destroying an enemy.
Trying it's most to tear the world and all it's nature apart.
To protect the living fossils, the ancient creatures of the modern earth, I dive deep into the ocean of my heart and illuminate myself.
The tolerance of plants and paintings comes to the forefront, powerless beings that cannot attack others and are left to be destroyed.
However. Their power envelops people and renders hearts free from prior agitatation.

寛容植物
怒りに満ちた最近の世界、大きなうねりが敵を壊し世界と自然をバラバラにしようとしている。現代地球における古生物、生きた化石を守るため私は私の心の海の中に深く潜り込んで自分自身を照らす。植物や絵の持つ寛容さ、他者を攻撃することはできず壊され刈り取られるままの非力な存在だが渾身の生命力が人を包み込み苛立った心を引き返らせる。私はそういう自然や芸術の力をのんきに信じている。
