🇬🇧 A visit to the workshops of the great KOHNO GUITAR, in Saitama, north of Tokyo. This is a non-narrated short documentary, where ambience sounds from Kohno's workshops will give you the feeling of the daily routines of the artisans who work there. It was produced by Worldwide Guitar Connections as part of my artistic residence in Japan in April/2026, supported by Ibermusicas and FUNARTE. 🇧🇷 Uma visita às oficinas da famosa KOHNO GUITAR, em Saitama, ao norte de Tóquio. Este é um documentário curto, sem narração, no qual os sons ambientes do workshop mostram a experiência da rotina dos artesãos da Kohno. Produzido por Worldwide Guitar Connections como parte da minha residência artística no Japão, em abril de 2026, com o apoio do Ibermúsicas e da FUNARTE. Obrigado ao meu amigo So Kimishima por abrir as portas de seus workshops para este registro!

🇯🇵 東京の北、埼玉県にある「河野ギター」の工房を訪ねました。これはナレーションのない短編ドキュメンタリーで、工房の環境音を通じて、そこで働く職人たちの日常の空気感を感じていただける作品です。本作は、IbermusicasとFUNARTEの支援を受け、2026年4月の日本でのアーティスト・イン・レジデンスの一環として、Worldwide Guitar Connectionsによって制作されました。工房の扉を開き、この制作を実現させてくれた友人の君島聡さんに心から感謝します！

The WGC Hub is online!

This is a pilot project to create a big community of guitarists who would like to make their guitars available to travelling guitarists, as well as borrowing guitars when playing abroad. This responds to the trend of guitarists travelling without their instrument due to airlines restrictions or other issues, and will hopefully one day be widely used to help connect the guitar community and save our precious 'babies'.

This pilot project will take 6 months, and will be then revised according to its usefulness to the community. To take part head to the WGC website (link in bio), click on WGC HUB on the top menu, and follow the instructions. And, of course, LIKE AND SHARE this with your contacts who might benefit from it.

The WGC Hub is online!

We’re launching a pilot project aimed at creating a global community of guitarists who are happy to lend their guitars to traveling musicians—and borrow one when playing abroad.

With more guitarists choosing to travel without their instruments due to airline restrictions and other challenges, this initiative hopes to offer a practical solution while strengthening connections within the guitar community and helping protect our precious “babies.” ❤️🎸

The pilot will run for 6 months and will be reviewed based on its usefulness to the community.

WGC is coming to Japan in 2026! With the great support from Ibermusicas (), WGC founder Fabricio Mattos will hold an artistic residence at the legendary KOHNO GUITAR in Tokyo, in collaboration with its current director So Kimishima () and other local partners. More details coming soon!
