i wanted to show off each of the new jack-o’-lantern sling bags in a little more detail, starting with this one 🎃🤍

some beautiful Japanese kimono scraps and white denim from friends came together to make this one 🪡 I used the denim for the back, it has a black nylon strap, white zipper, and multiple pockets inside for all your Halloween candies 🍬 🍬 & whatever other essentials you need to carry with you :)

Mixing a little piece of Japan with my favorite holiday was such a fun twist on my usual sling bags. If you love Halloween as much as I do, one of these might be for you! 🎃🧡

Each one is a little piece of art made with Japanese kimono fabric, one of a kind, and unique. I definitely put in some long days (and nights) bringing them to life!

These will be my only Halloween bags this year, so if you’ve had your eye on one, now’s your chance! I’m excited get into more fall colors 🍁

I gave myself a two-week window for this drop, and I’m hoping to give myself a little more time for the next one so I can make even more for you guys. What would you like to see more of next drop? ✨

Mixing Japanese kimono fabric with my favorite holiday has been such a fun change from my usual sling bags. 🎃🧡

Each one is one of a kind and feels like its own little piece of art. These definitely took some long days (and nights), but I’m so happy with how they came together!

These are the only Halloween bags I’ll be making this year, and I’m excited to start playing around with more fall colors next. 🍁 I’m hoping to give myself a little more time for the next drop so I can make even more. What would you guys like to see more of next time? ✨

okay, I never came back with the Juki update lol so here it is

Aomori Sewing Company came end of august and took care of quite a few things:

🪡 I got a new servo motor + needle down sensor (amazing)
🪡 oil change + a HUGE jug of extra oil 🥹
🪡 brand new bobbin winder cause the one that came with it was super crusty
🪡 new support rod (didn't notice it was missing but I got a new one)
🪡 new light bulb + outlet

We found this machine back in July and honestly, having it sitting in the living room for over almost two months while I waited to get everything sorted out really tested my patience 😩 I’m just so happy to finally have it upstairs and actually be able to use it.

I’ve been sewing on it for about a month now and it’s been really fun learning how a fully industrial machine works. She is FAST and I’m still getting used to that 😂 but I’m so happy to finally have this machine up and running and ready to really put her to work.

this one is an XL version of my recent tote bags made with the same kimono fabric from my last sling bag + denim :)

it’s much bigger than my usual totes and has several lining pockets plus plenty of room for a beach day, farmers market, café, or just carrying around all your extra stuff. I really like how the denim works with the kimono fabric on this one

this will be the only XL tote made with this kimono fabric!
