Miori Inata taught fine arts for a number of years in Tokyo before relocating to New York in 1991. After a photography course at Southampton University, she began her career with a camera, focusing on the people of New York and the city’s culture.

Her life changed after watching the tragic events of September 11, 2001 from her apartment window. It was then that she began what was both a personal and professional pilgrimage.
