意識のドローイングシリーズ
絵を描こうとする意識を働かせるのではなく、
自分の目が対象物を追いかける、その視線をなぞることに意識をしたドローイングを1997年か98年か、学生時代に制作。

このタッチを利用して、真鍮や銅を使った作品を作っていましたが、今回の展示は線だけをピックアップしています。

Consciousness Drawing Series

In 1997 or 1998, while I was a student, I created these drawings, focusing not on the conscious effort of drawing a picture, but on tracing the line of my gaze as my eyes follow the subject.

I continued to use this style to create works using brass and copper, but this exhibition focuses solely on lines.

This is my thoughts

When I was young, I admired Western things, but the more I went abroad, the more I realized that I had an indelible Japanese nature. I majored in Western painting when I was collage, but these experiences made me express myself in a Japanese way. And my experiences abroad have created me as someone who is not purely Japanese, and my paintings are not entirely Japanese. As you say, I feel that this is a reflection of who I am.

You can see our art at until July 31 in 2025.

美術館のエルバ様が、とても素晴らしい評論をしていただきました。
★日本語訳★

神戸出身の Nao Morigo氏。現在、マニラ・クロックタワー美術館に展示されている彼女の作品は、鉱物、顔料、銅、真鍮、麻紙を用いたミクストメディアの作品です。彼女の作品は現代的でありながらコンセプチュアルで、西洋的でありながら日本的な要素も取り入れ、フィリピンの題材を用いることで、独自の解釈を生み出しています。異文化体験は、彼女の作品だけでなく、彼女自身にも影響を与え、今日の彼女を形作っています。

素晴らしいコメントをありがとうございます。若い頃は西洋的なものに憧れていましたが、海外に行けば行くほど、自分の中に消えることのない日本的な性質があることに気づき始めました。専攻は西洋画でしたが、海外での経験を通して、日本的な表現をするようになりました。そして、海外での経験を通して、私は純粋な日本人ではない人間になり、私の絵も完全に日本的なものではありません。それが私の本質を反映しているのだと感じています。
