[The lily blooms where other flowers die]
[By: Kyuu Desperation]
Roses gleam and glow in a vase,
Dazzling, bright, and red in its place,
But beauty comes with a terrible price,
Thorns to protect from predators' vice.
Cornflowers once so loved like royalty,
A symbol of unity, hope, and loyalty,
But hope was lost, as animals came by,
Stepped on the flower as the people cry.
Lily so white, in the forest it shines,
White as light, as the monster whines,
Monsters invade, a terrible kind,
Lily stands tall, proud with a strong mind.
Little lily, shines in the darkness of night,
Her golden hair that glimmers so bright,
Monsters' lust, they attack on sight,
She fights and wins with all her might.
Little lily she stood, alone in the dark,
A forest filled with screams and barks,
Her short stature, the monsters drool,
Her poison kills them, they are utter fools.
Oh little lily, she is such a wonder,
Boyish and fun, crazy as thunder,
Oh the world is now full of evil lies,
She knows the truth of the world's demise.
Her little home in the forest of a land,
A nation once proud, now shouts in demand,
Leaders say, “no, this change is needed”,
Lily knows all, this must not be completed.
Lily experiences hardships in life,
Doing her best in this twisted strife,
The world around her is falling apart,
Sadly, eventually, it slowly eats her heart.
Even in the emptiness of her dying heart,
A glimmer of hope resists to depart,
To earn enough, at least she can leave,
To a land not filled with those who deceive.
The concept of love feels so out of place,
Pain in her heart, it felt no such space,
A broken girl she felt, to not have a part,
I, a broken boy, want to mend her heart.
