Japan has a rainy season in June and July. Because of the abundant rainfall, hydrangeas are in full bloom during this time of year.
Right now, Murō-ji in Nara has a beautiful display of hydrangeas around its pond, and the fresh green maple leaves are also stunning. Visitors can stroll through the temple grounds and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
This temple was built about 1,200 years ago. Its five-story pagoda is the second oldest in Japan. Although it has been renovated many times over the centuries, it still stands majestically today.
