🎂 Birthday Celebration -The Reggae Countess
I celebrated my birthday on Monday June 8th and I have been so busy changing lives one note at a time that I am just now sitting down to share it with you all! 😄👑
I was born on a beautiful June day in Kingston, Jamaica - the daughter of the legendary Count Owen, recipient of the Order of Distinction of Jamaica - a man who put music in my soul before I could even read. At nine years old he sent me onto the Ward Theatre stage with a song he wrote just for me. That little girl never looked back. 🎵
After 50+ years of singing I am still going strong. Still growing. Still changing lives one note at a time.
To my darling mom Cherry - one of the sweetest, kindest and strongest women I know - thank you for bringing me into this world and loving me every single day. ❤️
To my beloved family and friends near and far - in Jamaica, Vermont, the Caribbean and beyond - your love carries me every single day. Thank you All for your Blessings and birthday wishes!
To every soul who has ever let my voice find them - THANK YOU. You are why I sing.
