Not your typical family, The Johnsons consist of Ex-Army Sargent Cornelius Johnson played by Owen Blakka Ellis, devoted wife and mother – Crania played by Rosemary Murray- Tingling and two daughters Maaee- Sabrina Thomas and Chlorine- Shashana Lamont. Also joining the household is Trixie- Susan Braham Edwards, their live in housekeeper.
“The Johnsons” shows the hilarious goings on each week in the Johnsons household – from hiring household help, leaky roofs and the occasional and inevitable-clashes between Cornelius and Trixie.
“The Johnsons” is shot live in front of a studio audience.

*Owen Agustus Ellis is a writer, educator and performing artist who has been a part of the Caribbean arts and entertainment landscape for four decades and is renowned for his work as a comedian, MC and motivational speaker. As a writer, he has crafted notable works for stage, screen and television and penned scripts for major national events such as the Prime Minister’s Youth Award for Excellence and the Independence Grand Gala. *Rosemary Murray affectionately called Rosie by everyone,, blossomed and flowered as the rose of the Jamaican stage during the 80’s.
Her protruding eyeballs flashed with childlike exuberance as she recalled her early years of introduction to the stage. Brought up in a household with a Principal father, and teacher mother, she naturally was upfront and enjoyed opportunities that saw her doing performances at school concerts at an early age. Rosie still remembers the lines of a great long Christmas poem she recited at a school concert at the tender age of four.
