Eight years ago today, on August 1 2019, Walking Tall Jamaica took its first steps.
What began as a dream has grown into a community rooted in CULTURE, CONNECTION and COMMUNITY—one that continues to remind us that our stories deserve not only to be seen and celebrated but carried forward.
There could not have been a more meaningful way to mark our anniversary than by joining Emancipation Fest at Emancipation Park.
As special guests, our characters brought smiles, inspired curiosity and laughter for children and adults alike, proving once again that masquerade, stilt-walking Caribbean storytelling still have power to captivate across generations.

To everyone who stopped, watched, waved, took photos and shared in the joy—thank you for celebrating with us.
A special thank you to Tashwa, Jody, Neo and Shadane for showing up, lending your energy and helping make today possible. Community is what keeps Walking Tall moving forward.
Here’s to every step we’ve taken since 2019, every life we’ve touched, and every story still waiting to be told.
Happy Anniversary, Walking Tall Jamaica. ❤️🖤💛
