Although a New Year brings new tunes, it also bring us in Jersey some winter weather…so stay tuned for Maria Isabella] as our Season 2 finale this Friday before SiJ hibernates for a few months!

Maria was born and raised in Albany, New York with her Big Fat Greek and Italian family. She started writing music at a young age and would put on concerts for anyone who would listen. Her biggest writing influences are Brandi Carlile, Phoebe Bridgers, and Sara Bareilles. She received her BFA in Musical Theater from Pace University. Maria is currently working on a new musical, writing some new tunes, and recently started a band!

Follow her and her other projects for more!

Jacob Shipley’s Session is now live on our YouTube! Jacob filmed during warmer, greener times - and his tunes absolutely emanate that warmth. Hear his stripped down cover of 'Home' by the Talking Heads followed by two of his originals!

https://youtu.be/sDy5uwqHl1I
Jacob Shipley writes, sings, and tells stories about the moments in life we’d rather not repeat. Like the time his ex told him she forget he existed. Some of his music is sorrowful, some sardonic and humorous, but all of it comes from a deeply personal place that is easy to connect with because we’ve all been there. His lyrics are poignant, his voice accessible, his range impressive, and his guitar work effortless and subtly intricate. Listening to Jacob is like reminiscing with an old friend: not everything was easy, but at least we made it through.
