Revisiting PERPETUO for the last time...

Four months ago, PERPETUO left the church of Santa Maria della Visitazione in Venice. Let’s take a moment to step back, breathe in the unique atmosphere of this place, and reflect on how PERPETUO came to life. My thanks to the entire team for leaving a mark together in such an exceptional and charismatic space.

󰏅 PERPETUO comes to life.… ⚙ (26/04–28/04/2025)
Over three days, with four pairs of hands, the structure transformed into an installation — the
sculptures were placed directly on site, and the work finally took on its complete,
“stitched-together” form.
Thank you to everyone who shared this moment with us.

In tre giorni, con quattro persone, la struttura si è trasformata in un’installazione — le
sculture sono state collocate direttamente sul posto e l’opera ha finalmente assunto la sua
forma finale,
“ricucita”

Během tří dnů ve čtyřech lidech byla konstrukce osazena sochami a dílo bylo přímo na
místě konečně vytvořeno a “došito”

🇬🇧 PERPETUO construction assembly… ⚙ (23/04–24/04/2025)
The construction of the Perpetuo supporting structure is underway, using both static and
mobile scaffolding as well as a specially designed crane. The eccentric shape, with a ground
plan resembling a horizontal figure eight (the symbol of infinity), is made up of 14 steel
segments with a total weight of 3.5 tons. Two days and eight people — and it’s ready for the
placement of the sculptures...

🇮🇹 PERPETUO disfare le valigie e trasferirsi in chiesa… ⚙ (23/04–24/04/2025)
È in corso la costruzione della struttura portante Perpetuo, realizzata con l’utilizzo
di ponteggi sia statici che mobili, oltre a una gru appositamente progettata. La forma
eccentrica, con una pianta che ricorda un otto orizzontale (il simbolo dell’infinito),
è composta da 14 segmenti d’acciaio per un peso totale di 3,5 tonnellate. Due giorni e otto
persone — ed è pronta per il posizionamento delle sculture...

🇨🇿 PERPETUO sestavení nosné konstrukce… ⚙ (23/04–24/04/2025)
Probíhá montáž nosné konstrukce Perpetua za pomocí statického i mobilního lešení
a speciálně vyrobeného jeřábu. Excentrický tvar s půdorysem ležaté osmičky (nekonečna) je
tvořen ze 14 ocelových částí o celkové váze 3,5 tuny. 2 dny + 8 lidí a je nachystáno na
osazení sochami...

🇬🇧PERPETUO unpacking and moving in… ⚙ (23/04/2025)
The entire shipment was transported from the dock near the church on pallet trucks and laid
out in front of the church. A nine-member team then unpacked all the components, arranged
them inside the church according to the logistical plan, and temporarily stored the auxiliary
materials in the monastery cloister. Within two and a half hours, everything was ready for
assembly, and the area in front of the church was once again freely accessible.

L’intero carico è stato trasferito dal molo vicino alla chiesa con transpallet e disposto davanti
alla chiesa. Un team di nove persone ha poi aperto tutti i componenti, li ha sistemati
all’interno della chiesa secondo il piano logistico e ha temporaneamente riposto il materiale
di supporto nel chiostro del monastero. Nel giro di due ore e mezza tutto era pronto per il
montaggio e l’area davanti alla chiesa era di nuovo liberamente accessibile.
🇨🇿PERPETUO vybalování a přesun do kostela… ⚙ (23/04/2025)
Celý náklad byl z kotviště nedaleko kostela přemístěn na paletových vozících a vyskládán
před kostelem. Devítičlenný tým poté rozbalil všechny komponenty, podle logistického plánu
je rozložil v interiéru kostela a pomocný materiál dočasně uskladnil v ambitu kláštera.
Během 2,5 hodiny bylo vše připraveno k sestavení a prostor před kostelem byl opět volně
průchozí.

🇬🇧 PERPETUO on its final journey to the church… ⚙️ (04/2025)
PERPETUO was unloaded from the truck by crane in the port of Mestre, transferred onto two boats, and set off on the last leg of its journey to the church.
Because of the cargo’s height, the entire crew enjoyed a beautiful scenic tour through the very heart of Venice. The unloading took place at a mooring about 200 meters from the church on Fondamenta Zattere, and with the help of a pallet jack the whole cargo was moved in front of the church entrance and then dismantled…

🇮🇹 PERPETUO nell’ultimo viaggio verso la chiesa… ⚙️ (04/2025)
A Mestre, nel porto, PERPETUO è stato scaricato dal camion con una gru, trasferito su due imbarcazioni e partito per l’ultima tappa del suo viaggio verso la chiesa.
A causa dell’altezza del carico, tutto l’equipaggio ha potuto godersi un bellissimo percorso panoramico lungo i canali nel cuore stesso di Venezia. Lo scarico è avvenuto a un approdo a circa 200 metri dalla chiesa, alle Fondamenta Zattere, e con l’aiuto di un transpallet l’intero carico è stato spostato davanti all’ingresso della chiesa e poi smontato…
Grazie mille per il trasporto e la navigazione sicura 🙂
🇨🇿 PERPETUO na závěrečné cestě do kostela… ⚙️ (04/2025)
PERPETUO bylo v přístavu v Mestre z kamionu přeloženo jeřábem na dvě lodě a vyrazilo na poslední etapu své cesty do kostela.
Díky výšce nákladu absolvovala celá posádka krásnou vyhlídkovou trasu kanály samotným centrem Benátek. Vykládka proběhla na kotvišti cca 200 metrů od kostela na Fondamenta Zattere a pomocí paletového vozíku byl celý náklad přemístěn před vchod kostela a poté rozebrán…
Děkujeme za bezpečný převoz i plavbu :)
