Paella tourist traps in Barcelona 🚫🥘 how to spot a bad one before you sit down.
Most of the yellow rice sold near the tourist zones is not really paella. Here are the red flags locals watch for:
🚫 A host waving you in from the street. Good restaurants never need to.
🚫 Paella served in under 20 minutes. The real thing takes 25 to 45.
🚫 Photos of paella on boards outside, especially around La Rambla, Plaça Reial and Port Vell.
🚫 "Mixed paella" with chorizo. That is a foreign add on, never traditional here.
🚫 Giant pans on display outdoors. Usually decoration, not dinner.
See two or more of these? Abort mission. 🏃
