Deglupta unveils a new artist-designed pouf by Simone Micheli at InOut 2026.

At InOut 2026 (InOut Expo) in Rimini, we are proud to present our new collaboration with internationally renowned architect and designer Simone Micheli, through an exclusive, one-of-a-kind pouf.

A creation born from the encounter between the artist’s distinctive graphic language and the excellence of Italian craftsmanship.

A unique piece in which design goes beyond giving the artwork a function, becoming an integral part of its artistic expression.

Every piece of painted leather that reaches the artisan’s hands carries an artwork already brought to life through colours, marks, and artistic choices. This is where a process of observation and precision begins, with every decision requiring the right balance between aesthetics and functionality.

The leather is carefully studied, cut, and refined, including reducing its thickness to make the bag lighter and allow for the internal structure needed to give it shape.

Nothing is left to chance in this process: every element must contribute to the harmony of the final creation and, above all, enhance the original artwork without overshadowing it.

Because craftsmanship is not simply about shaping a material, but also about understanding how to work with it while respecting everything that makes it unique.

Every colour is born from a process of research between artistic expression and material.

For π‘«π’†π’ˆπ’π’–π’‘π’•π’‚, colour is not simply an expressive choice: it is also a matter of material, research and experimentation.

Artists work with specific colours designed to adhere to leather and evolve with it over time, maintaining their brilliance and intensity, resisting contact with water, and following the natural flexibility of the surface without losing their chromatic strength.

This technical choice is essential because the artwork is not meant to remain still on a wall. The colour must move with the leather as it is crafted, transformed and lived with.

This is why our chromatic research is developed around the needs of the artists and the characteristics of each Deglupta creation: the freedom of the artist’s gesture meets a colour capable of following it beyond the canvas.

Giving art a new form.

Every artist brings their own language, research, and personal way of interpreting material. π‘«π’†π’ˆπ’π’–π’‘π’•π’‚ was created to embrace these differences and bring them together within a shared vision, without asking art to conform to a predetermined form.

The process always begins with the artwork. Only after it has taken shape on the leather is it studied and interpreted to understand how it can evolve through Italian craftsmanship, while preserving everything that makes it distinctive and unrepeatable.

The artist has worked directly on the surface, transforming 100% Made in Italy leather into a canvas: colour, marks and material come together to create an original artwork that exists even before the object it will become.

This is where the artisan’s work begins.

The leather is observed, measured and carefully studied before it is cut. Working with an already painted surface means engaging with something that cannot simply be replaced or replicated.

There is no identical process to repeat. Each piece of leather carries a different artwork, requiring the artisan to find a new balance every time.

It is through this transition that Italian craftsmanship becomes an integral part of the Deglupta process.

An artist works directly onto its surface, leaving behind a gesture, a colour, a vision. Our role is not to reproduce it, but to understand it, preserve it and give it a new form through Italian craftsmanship.
