The Swing Freaks

The Swing Freaks is a Swing dance community: classes & events in Trieste! Come and join us for Lindy Hop / Solo Jazz / Balboa / Blues / Shag / Charleston...

We met in April 2014 on the first swing dance workshop in Koper, later we started to meet and dance on our own. At first we practiced each Friday evening in local bars and during the summer on the beach. In the meantime we started going to classes in Ljubljana, festivals at home and abroad, improving and expanding our swing dances. Our love for the swing culture prompted us to share this love with

more people on the coast, so we established The Swing Freaks. The Swing Freaks is now active throughout the Trieste-Koper coastal region. We organize classes, swing practice evenings, dance parties, concerts, festivals and picnics. And whenever possible we like to show the world the beauty of swing and jazz dance! The Swing Freaks exists and continues to thrive because of the energy and vision of many individuals who contribute to the community. Come, join us, dance with us!

Our Lindy Hop beginner courses begin on September 24th: you’ll start from scratch, you don’t need to come as a couple, and you don’t have to be “gifted for dancing.”

Come to learn a few steps.
Then maybe you’ll stay for the music, the evenings, the people you meet by chance... Because Swing Freaks isn’t just a course: it’s a community where you can dance, hang out, laugh, and meet new people in Trieste.

Il 24 settembre iniziano i nostri corsi beginner di Lindy Hop: si parte davvero da zero, non serve arrivare in coppia e non devi essere “portato per il ballo”.

Vieni per imparare qualche passo.
Poi magari resti per la musica, le serate, le persone conosciute per caso…�Perché Swing Freaks non è solo un corso: è una community con cui ballare, uscire, ridere e conoscere gente nuova a Trieste.
