Siamo in estate , il nostro impegno per e tra i giovani - discreto, lontano dai riflettori , dalle ribalte .. - non cessa ma ci concediamo una pausa.
Pausa per riprendere fiato, per riflettere su quanto fatto, per programmare …
Siamo consapevoli dell’attuale emergenza (dis)educativa , ma come direbbe Giorgio La Pira: spes contra spem.
Bisogna credere nei giovani, scommettere su di loro e fare germogliare i bene che portano dentro.
E’ necessario stare con i giovani, conoscere le loro esigenze e bisogni, stare dalla loro parte, sostenerli ed essere testimoni e guide autorevoli.
Non basta parlare, è tempo di agire.

Four years ago, nearly 450,000 young people from over 170 countries contributed to the Youth Declaration on Transforming Education – calling for a decisive role in shaping the future of learning.

As the global community looks beyond 2030, new consultations on the future of education are now open — placing youth at the center.

Four years after the landmark Summit convened by the UN Secretary-General, is bringing together education leaders from around the world to identify solutions to the global education financing crisis.

As new figures show that international aid to education could fall by up to 30% between 2023 and 2027, and that 113 countries spend more on debt servicing than on education, UNESCO is publishing concrete recommendations to help countries break the debt trap and invest in education.

Lebanon is in crisis and UNESCO is responding.

Supporting 1.6 million students. Placing 73 cultural sites under enhanced protection. Reaching 1.3 million people through campaigns to combat misinformation. Training teachers, empowering journalists, and standing with communities when it matters most.

Because 500,000 children have been forced from classrooms. Ancient heritage sites — including Tyre, a UNESCO site — have been damaged. Journalists have been killed. Misinformation is spreading as reliable information disappears.

The needs are immense. UNESCO stands ready to scale up further, supporting recovery and resilience
