«This is not a reunion, in fact it's the opposite, a farewell song.
More than 2 years have passed since we disbanded. We were asked to participate in this tribute and just couldn't refuse. Godflesh is one of the reasons why Knut ever existed. The only band we ever covered twice. We used to play "Like Rats" live, back in the mid 90's, and later we did "Merciless". In 2006 we were joined by JK Broadrick on stage in Geneva, a show we shared with Jesu and Final. For some reason, Justin's guitar track wasn't captured on the recording, only his voice. The idea of re-recording it never transformed. Instead of using that unfinished piece, we asked an other singer, equally influential, whose impact on us and on contemporary extreme music has been just as strong, Franz Treichler from the Young Gods. It makes sense. Thank you Godflesh, thank you The Young Gods, thanks to all the people we met, who supported Knut through the years. New shapes coming» (Roderic & Knut)
