International Jazz Day – Beautiful Love: Music Beyond Borders

April 30, 2026

Beautiful Love is an international project built on the idea of fostering dialogue and listening between different cultures and countries through a language that needs no words: music.
In this sense, music becomes a shared space — a meeting ground where different identities do not clash, but recognize one another, respect each other, and transform into something new. Just like jazz, which by its very nature brings together distant traditions, stories, and sensibilities, creating each time a unique and unrepeatable balance.
The album and the international tour of Beautiful Love embody this vision: not only an artistic project, but a concrete symbol of cooperation, respect, and love between cultures. A journey that moves across places and people, keeping at its core the value of deep listening and collective creation.
Each concert becomes a living experience, where musicians and audience take part in the same dialogue, sharing energy, emotion, and memory. A return to the original spirit of jazz — made of closeness, exchange, and vitality — where music has always been a form of human resilience, capable of generating beauty even in the most challenging times.
As highlighted on International Jazz Day, jazz is a universal language that transcends borders, generations, and cultures, inviting deep listening and collective harmony. Beautiful Love follows this path: a project that celebrates the meeting of different perspectives and shows how, when rhythms, visions, and traditions come together, something profoundly human and authentic can emerge.
A timeless jazz, looking toward the future.
Finding its truest form in the encounter between cultures.

Sometimes it happens that an influential music critic listens to your album—and says things that only someone with great experience can truly perceive.
They do it with the grace of someone who has the gift of handling words with care.
Because certain records also speak about those who listen to them, and he was able to listen all the way through.

BEAUTIFUL LOVE (Sn**ch Noise)

It’s an album of standards—songs from the history of jazz that have been revisited by many over the years. However… “Beautiful Love is not meant to be just a tribute to the past, but also a manifesto of a contemporary, fresh, and powerful jazz. We have reworked the jazz and swing of the 1920s and 1930s with energy and freedom, while still respecting tradition. In choosing the pieces that make up my debut album and that I perform live, I have favored lesser-known and less overplayed standards, placing particular importance on the lyrics.”

This is how singer (and actress) Elena Andreoli describes it. For her debut, she chose to be accompanied by one of the most renowned clarinetists on our scene, Paolo Tomelleri, who is also a saxophonist and has been performing jazz for years, even with an orchestra bearing his name.

The two return to songs from the swing era—roughly the first quarter of the 20th century—nine in total: from Blue Skies by Irving Berlin to I Don’t Mean a Thing by Duke Ellington, from On the Sunny Side of the Street by Jimmy McHugh to Frim Fram Sauce, made famous by Nat King Cole; from Ain’t She Sweet—presented here in a minimal version with voice, clarinet, and ukulele and even covered by the Beatles—to Whispering, which also ended up in the hands of Miles Davis.

They bring these pieces back into circulation with a light touch, almost without pretension other than highlighting her sinuous vocal style. This choice allows them to reach more deeply into the heart of that sound—not with the sterile ambition of reinventing it, but with a naturalness that is itself a statement: few virtuoso flourishes, no unnecessary embellishments, just a refined thread of modernity.

Andreoli sings like someone who understands the weight of words, recalling certain interpreters of the sixties, while for Tomelleri a single clarinet phrase is enough to reveal his rich musical identity. The accompanying musicians—Stefano Pennini on piano, Davide Parisi on guitar, Raffaele Romano on double bass, and Alberto Traverso on drums—create a soft foundation on which voice and clarinet can interact like two actors who have always known each other.

Beautiful Love 🎶
