Gathering botanicals.
Making art with sunlight.
Getting your hands a little messy.
Slowing down long enough to notice the magic.

And then watching a room full of people discover that they can make something beautiful with their own hands.

I think that’s pretty chic. ✨🌿

See y’all tomorrow! 💙😊

Every time I teach a cyanotype workshop, I’m reminded why I fell in love with this process in the first place.

What began as a creative practice has become something I genuinely enjoy sharing with others. There’s something special about watching someone experience that first print reveal—the moment when sunlight, water, and botanicals come together to create an image that’s completely unique.

Cyanotype has taught me to slow down. It reminds me to be present, to enjoy the process instead of rushing to the outcome, and to embrace the beauty of the unexpected. No two prints are ever the same, and I think that’s one of the lessons I love most.

Preparing for each workshop is a creative process of its own. From gathering botanicals to planning demonstrations and creating sample prints, I want every student to feel welcomed, inspired, and confident enough to continue exploring after they leave.

I’m so grateful for everyone who has trusted me to guide them through this beautiful process. Your curiosity, creativity, and willingness to experiment make every workshop a meaningful experience—for you and for me.

Here’s to slowing down, creating with nature, and finding joy in the process. 💙🌿

One of my favorite parts of being an artist is sharing the cyanotype process with others.

This month, our local library invited me to lead a mini cyanotype workshop as part of their summer program. It was such a joy to spend time creating together, introducing participants to the beauty of sun printing, and watching each print slowly emerge in the water.

Moments like these remind me that creativity doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes all it takes is a little sunshine, a few botanicals, and the willingness to slow down.

There’s something special about gathering together to create slowly. Watching fabric transform into deep blue botanical prints reminds us that some of the most meaningful things simply take time. 🌿

Have you tried printing with sunlight?
