“I remember the first customer who commissioned a custom AG-SYS without accepting any of the company’s suggestions.

When they showed him the color samples, he rejected them all.

He wanted exposed carbon fiber.

Everywhere.

Every surface had to remain exposed, with nothing to interrupt the grain. He even chose the front subframe in structural carbon fiber, as if the very skeleton of the bike had to be on display. The exhaust was ceramic-coated in white, as if it were a bone bleached by the desert sun. The machined details were left in bright gray, cold and precise under the workshop lights. Even the carbon-ceramic discs became part of the final configuration, completing a bike in which every element seemed to answer the same idea: to eliminate any visual compromise between function and form.

I remember the day of delivery.

He walked around the bike just once.

Then he fell silent.

No one spoke.

In Vtopia’s records, that AG-SYS is simply the first private commission.

Among the designers, however, it is remembered differently.

It was the first time a motorcycle seemed less like a corporate product…

and more like something that had been set free”.

“I remember a sunset at the Vtopia outdoor labs.

The sky was dark orange, almost red, and the desert seemed to still hold the heat of the entire day. In the center of the yard stood a lava-red ANIMA, propped up on its rear stand, motionless as if it had been left there after something no one wanted to talk about.

It wasn’t dirty.
It wasn’t damaged.

It was perfect.

And that was precisely what made it unsettling.

Because in that light, it seemed less like a motorcycle and more like a waiting presence, as if the sun were setting only to finally let it emerge from the darkness“.

“Once I dreamed of an all-black AG-SYS.
I don’t remember where I was coming from. In dreams, it’s often like that: the city already exists all around you, as if you’d been born there all your life. I only remember the light. A clear, almost spring-like light that streamed down between the towers of the megalopolis and refracted off the suspended walkways.
And then there was her.
Standing still in the middle of the street.
Not parked the way you leave a motorcycle.
It seemed… placed there.
The black bodywork was unnaturally shiny. The morning sun flowed over the surface like dark water, distorting the city’s reflections until they were unrecognizable. For a moment, I had the feeling that that AG-SYS wasn’t reflecting the world around it… but something slightly different.
Something wrong.
I remember the sound of the city slowly fading away.
No traffic. No breeze. No voices.
Just that motionless thing in front of me.
And the closer I got, the more a feeling grew that I can’t describe without sounding crazy: I was certain that the motorcycle knew I was looking at it.
We at Vtopia spend our lives designing presence. We know how an object can dominate a space, alter a gaze, change the way a person feels simply by standing in front of them.
But that AG-SYS… no.
It seemed designed to appear at just the right moment.
Like a presence that had learned to mimic a machine.
Then I woke up suddenly in my apartment, level 312, with the sound of the megacity’s turbines echoing through the walls.
And for a few seconds, I didn’t have the courage to look out the window.
Because part of me was convinced that that motorcycle was still there, under the morning sun, motionless... waiting for me to stop thinking of it as a dream”.

“I remember a sunset that felt almost like summer.

The air was still and warm, and the orange light glided over the mountains as if the world were still intact. Two motorcycles were parked in the shadow of the hangar, freshly assembled, their surfaces still flawless, almost unnatural amid such a peaceful landscape.

No sound.
No movement.

Just those two motionless machines in the evening silence.

And that is precisely what unsettled me.

Because they seemed completely at ease there,
as if the future had already learned to hide within places that still seem innocent to you”.

“I remember one of the first all-carbon ΛG-SYS models you showcased back then.

Monaco. Top Marques.

Under those artificial lights, the carbon fiber didn’t look like a material. It looked like a surface that had grown on its own—too light, too dark to truly belong there.

People would walk past it and then turn back.
It happened over and over.

As if something about the bike’s shape compelled the eye to take a second look.

The company recorded everything. Observation times. Reactions. Hesitations.

Because events like that weren’t meant to sell motorcycles.

They were meant to understand how ready your present was to coexist with something that, unconsciously, had already realized it couldn’t stop”.

“I still remember the footage of Vtopia’s first public appearances in your time.

Glass, white lights, flawless surfaces. Everything designed to celebrate luxury and speed the way you envisioned them.

And then there were our motorcycles.

Too low. Too precise. Too far ahead of everything else on display in those halls.

People approached slowly. They stood still for a few seconds too long. They looked for familiar details to convince themselves that these were still objects belonging to their own time.

Many smiled.
But in the footage, you can clearly see something else.

Unease.

Like when something doesn’t openly threaten you, but makes you realize that sooner or later it will take the place of what you know.

In the corporation’s internal documents, those exhibitions were not classified as promotional events.

They were experiments in visual adaptation.

Vtopia was testing how much of the future your present was willing to tolerate without reacting.

Because the corporations of my time have learned a fundamental rule:

if you expose people to something unsettling long enough,
eventually they’ll stop wondering if it’s right.

They’ll simply start wanting it”.

“Months before the Race, ΛNIMΛ posters begin to appear everywhere.

At first, there are only a few.

A wall on one of the middle floors. A passageway. A wall near the loading docks.

Then they become impossible to avoid.

Huge surfaces, short slogans, images too perfect for the world around them. The corporation calls them preventive communication campaigns.

But no one sees them that way.

Because when ΛNIMΛ starts appearing on the city’s walls, everyone understands the same thing:

VTOPIΛ is preparing the desert”.

“In my day, white is rarely used.

Especially on motorcycles.

Once I saw a white ΛNIMΛ appear against a yellow background on one of the posters distributed before the Race. It didn’t look aggressive or fast. It looked distant.

Almost clinical.

And perhaps that was precisely what made it unsettling.

Because when VTOPIΛ stops using darkness, it means it no longer needs to hide anything”.
