TERRAFORMA EXO
Cultural Manifestation for a New Ecology of Sound

Terraforma Exo is a new cultural manifestation produced by Threes Productions, whose first edition will take place on June 15th and 16th in Milan’s Parco Sempione. Conceived as a curatorial intervention expanding beyond enclosed venues to explore new geographies, Terraforma Exo confronts the challenges of navigating contemporary cultural landscapes by facilitating moments of deep introspection and critical thinking. The curatorial program will encompass live performances, installations, sound walks, and panel discussions featuring leading thinkers, musicians, and artists who operate within the spectrum of sound and ecology. A significant focus will be given to the ecological dimension of sound as an element capable of creatively transforming and interpreting space, opening up new ways of coexistence.

What happens when the land stops being a backdrop and becomes material, interlocutor, the very condition of making art?
In occasion of Terraforma EXO lands in Palermo, we are happy to present LA FANTASIA CHE LA TERRA CI RICHIEDE, a two-voice conversation with Renato Grieco Renato Grieco and Giorgio Mega of

Starting from Between Land and Sea and Brucialacrime, they look at practices born from consciously inhabiting Southern Italy and the Mediterranean. These are places shaped by marginalisation and transformation, and now by new research, culture and imagination.
The question: how can we tell and live the contemporary Mediterranean on our own terms?

Giorgio Mega: Sicily-based curator and producer working on sound and cultural geographies, co-founder of Fondazione Studio Rizoma.
Renato Grieco (kNN): Naples-born composer and artist, moving between musique concrète, ancient instruments, imaginary lutherie and sculptural rooms.

New York-based DJ liv 🆗 came up in Seattle’s DIY scene with the “play weirder, not harder” ethos. Her dubwise sets move across eras, scenes and sounds, drawing on Black music, its art and its history. She has played at Nowadays, FOLD, The White Hotel, Houghton and Waking Life.

Terraforma EXO and the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain present Correspondences Live by Soundwalk Collective (Soundwalk Collective) & Patti Smith (This is Patti Smith), two exclusive performances at Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber in Milan on 26 and 27 November 2026.

We’re very pleased to announce these performances as the final chapter of Terraforma EXO 2026.

Correspondences Live brings together sound, voice, image and memory. The project, born from a long-standing collaboration between Soundwalk Collective and Patti Smith, draws on field recordings, texts, images and sound compositions gathered over more than a decade across fragile ecosystems and historically charged territories, addressing climate change, the resilience of nature and the relationship between people and landscape.

Correspondences Live is a live extension of the Correspondences exhibition presented by Triennale Milano and the Fondation Cartier (26 Nov 2026–7 Mar 2027).

Two DJs to close the night. Terraforma EXO Palermo welcomes liv 🆗 and PLO Man to Villa Tasca on October 17 for a special b2b.

Emerging from Seattle’s eclectic DIY scene, livwutang has established herself as one of dance music’s most singular yet versatile voices, proudly repping a “play weirder, not harder” ethos. The New York-based DJ has enraptured dancers across continents with appearances at clubs and festivals including Nowadays, FOLD, The White Hotel, Houghton and Waking Life, building an inimitable sonic world rooted in Black music, its artistry and its history.

Originally from Calgary and now based in Berlin, PLO Man is a DJ and electronic music producer, co-founder of the underground label Acting Press. He brings his own restless, genre-blurring style to the decks, bridging eras, scenes and sounds in a way that feels deeply personal.

Sound as spell. Terraforma EXO Palermo, in collaboration with Operativa Arte Contemporanea, welcomes Emiliano Maggi to Villa Tasca on October 17.

For the occasion, Maggi presents The Nymphs Orchestra: starting from a tree trunk found in the villa’s garden, he carves an instrument that becomes the starting point for both installation and live performance. Sound as a tool of identification, enchantment and trance, summoning the hidden voice inside the wood and the soul of the tree: part installation, part invocation.
Working across sculpture, painting, dance and music, the Rome-based artist builds imagined worlds where identity, male or female, animal or human, is never fixed, drawing on references where mythology, Shakespearean theatre, 1970s horror and contemporary drag collide.

Terraforma EXO Palermo is co-curated as part of the TIMES cooperation project.

Just over a month to go until Autechre return to Milan, and we’re happy to announce two special performances.

Bochum Welt, composer and producer Gianluigi Di Costanzo, first emerged through his work with Aphex Twin’s own label in the mid-90s, and has since spent three decades building one of the most distinctive voices in electronic music. MDX, the live alias of Andy Maddocks, founder of the legendary Manchester label Skam Records and a key figure within the elusive Gescom collective.

Considered one of the most defining forces in contemporary electronic music, Autechre have continuously reshaped the language of sound through fractured rhythmic architectures, unpredictable compositional systems, and a relentless exploration of algorithm, error, and digital matter.
