Cultural Manifestation for a New Ecology of Sound

Terraforma Exo is a new cultural manifestation produced by Threes Productions, whose first edition will take place on June 15th and 16th in Milan’s Parco Sempione. Conceived as a curatorial intervention expanding beyond enclosed venues to explo

re new geographies, Terraforma Exo confronts the challenges of navigating contemporary cultural landscapes by facilitating moments of deep introspection and critical thinking. The curatorial program will encompass live performances, installations, sound walks, and panel discussions featuring leading thinkers, musicians, and artists who operate within the spectrum of sound and ecology. A significant focus will be given to the ecological dimension of sound as an element capable of creatively transforming and interpreting space, opening up new ways of coexistence.

As we begin to reveal our new educational project, we are very thrilled to welcome Donato Dozzy as its main mentor. He will accompany the project as a guide, contributing to its development over time.

Widely regarded as a key figure in contemporary electronic music, Dozzy has shaped a singular path as a DJ, composer and producer, earning international recognition for his deeply immersive and hypnotic approach to sound. His work unfolds across records, live performances, installations and long‑term collaborations.

Long connected to the Terraforma ecosystem, his practice resonates with our focus on listening as a form of research.

His approach reflects the kind of learning environment we want to create: open, collective and grounded in experience.

There are moments when education stops being a structure and starts becoming a way of living. We are working on a new project inspired by this radical approach.

In the aftermath of World War II, the Darmstadt Summer Courses opened a space where composers, performers and thinkers could meet and reshape the language of sound together. What emerged there was not only music, but a shared field of research.

In 1973, Global Tools took form in Florence as a school that refused to be a school. No teachers, no students, just a network of practitioners exploring communication, the body, survival and theory through collective actions, seminars and lived experimentation.

Earlier, Black Mountain College imagined learning as a community. Life and study unfolded together, without hierarchy, in a continuous exchange between disciplines, gestures and everyday practices.

We want to to create a new context for learning and exchange, and to reimagine how sound fosters togetherness.

ROMASUONA

ROMASUONA is an exhibition exploring music as a vital force — a shared space where people meet, collide, and recognize themselves. Throughout the 1970s, music intertwined with poetry, counterculture, visual arts, cinema, and theatre, becoming a driving engine of cultural and social transformation.

The exhibition focuses on Rome during that decade, when the city emerged as a vibrant crossroads of musical and cultural trajectories, a place where local scenes and international influences continuously intersected.
Terraforma contributes to the exhibition by shaping its spatial and sonic dimension. We are developing a narrative environment where music is not a backdrop, but a central element — guiding the experience and setting the rhythm of the exhibition.

The project is developed within the broader program of Palazzo Esposizioni Roma, which investigates the cultural currents that have shaped the city: through both the artists who originated there and those who, arriving from elsewhere, contributed to making Rome a site of exchange and experimentation.

Autechre, the British duo considered among the most radical and influential in electronic music of the last thirty years, announce their return to Italy with two dates in 2026.
As Terraforma, in collaboration with 3dagency, we present Autechre at Alcatraz in Milan on October 11.

Sean Booth and Rob Brown will make their first live appearance in Italy since 2023, as part of a series of shows in mid-sized clubs leading up to the biggest headline performance of their career in London.

We’re thrilled to welcome back Autechre at Alcatraz in Milan on 11.10.2026

Following extensive sold-out touring throughout 2025, Autechre’s Sean Booth and Rob Brown are set for another busy year with further live performances in Japan in February and newly announced dates across Europe in September and October 2026, including Italy.

Mohammad Reza Mortazavi is a virtuoso percussionist from Iran, known for playing traditional Persian instruments such as the tombak and daf. After developing more than thirty new striking techniques and progressing to be one of the most prominent players in Iran, Mortazavi travelled to Germany, eventually settling in Berlin to record and perform regular concerts the world over. His acclaimed performances have taken place in venues such as Berlin Philharmonie, Paris Pantheon, Villa Medici and Sydney Opera House. In recent years, he has been embraced by the experimental electronic music community, collaborating with artists such as Burnt Friedman or Mark Fell.

Terraforma Exo 22.11.2025 at BLÅ Oslo

Valentina Magaletti is a drummer-composer and multi-instrumentalist with an inventive approach to drums and percussion. Her versatile technique, which can incorporate anything from vibes and marimba to contact microphones and found objects, results in a style that is forever evolving. Feeling just as comfortable performing behind a delicate ceramic kit as she does hammering out motorik rhythms, her creative take on percussion has resulted in a diverse discography and many interesting collaborations.

Magaletti will be part of this new iteration of Terraforma Exo happening on Saturday, 22.11 at BLÅ Oslo.
