For the entrance wing, however, the chosen theme is “Depth” and was entirely designed by Irene Costamagna of 4SB. This area focuses more on the dimension of water and the descent into the depths of the sea. The staircase with the main decoration is the central one and was decorated with a multitude of fish inspired by Japanese koinobori, traditional flags that are used to wave in the wind, as if they were swimming in the air, on the occasion of kodomo no hi, or children’s festival, and which represent a wish for physical and spiritual energy, as well as growth and social success. They represent the ideas that arise from the depths of one’s soul and go upstream, transforming into thoughts and actions, to then blossom into splendid water lilies, which decorate the ceiling of the staircase itself. The other stairs in the corridor are decorated with decorative motifs that recall the texture of the aquatic depths and, in the staircase near the assembly hall, a small group decided to dedicate the cracks in the floor to the Spongebob characters, thus giving the pop touch that we always love to include in our works.
In short, “Altitude and Depth” is a project dedicated to the two vital aspects of adolescence: the search for and realization of one’s dreams and the ability to discover oneself through new ideas and thoughts that come from deep within. These two aspects, in our opinion, should be the pillars that support a healthy and serene school, the true climb, for all the students of Greppi High School, towards the realization and discovery of themselves.
We dedicate all of this to them (and to us). 💫🖤🎏
