Change

è un progetto pensato per mappare la rete dell’arte, nel quale artisti che si sceglieranno tra di loro metteranno in moto una rete di incontri reale e indipendente. L’obbiettivo di Change! è quello di mettere in viaggio le opere, mettendole in relazione con luoghi diversi da quelli che usualmente l’artista è abituato a frequentare. L’opera scelta da ciascun artista verrà consegnata a mano dall

o stesso a un altro artista. Le opere in questi viaggi possono trovare nuove strade. Lo scambio “da mano a mano” è centrale in quanto permette agli artisti di incontrarsi personalmente, in luoghi intimi e personali, come l’atelier o la propria casa, e di trovare un momento nella loro quotidianità per incontrare l’altro e dedicargli un momento di conoscenza reciproca. Ogni artista deve scambiarsi un’opera e ognuno deve fotografare l’opera dell’altro nella propria casa o nel proprio studio, un luogo personale e caratteristico, ma che allo stesso tempo accoglie e ospita l’opera dell’altro. Le foto da scattare servono invece per archiviare la mappatura del viaggio delle opere (piacerebbe collocarle in una vera cartina virtuale sul sito, liberamente consultabili). A ogni artista verrà assegnata una pagina sul sito internet di Change!

*Change! È un progetto estraneo a esigenze istituzionali, espositive e di mercato. che vuole intensificare rapporti umani di cooperazione tra gli artisti.

*Change! è un progetto che vuole mettere in rete artisti e opere, dando visibilità non solo virtuale ma soprattutto relazionale tra gli artisti.

*Change! è un progetto che vuole avere una vita autonoma e che prevede di potersi estendere senza limiti. REGOLAMENTO:

>All’artista invitato è richiesto di creare o scegliere tra le quelle già prodotte, un’opera di piccole/medie dimensioni che lo rappresenti.

>L’opera scelta può essere di qualsiasi materiale e forma purché venga messa in sicurezza dall’artista stesso (cornici, teche, dispositivi); non deve essere un opera che richieda allestimenti particolari e complicati.

>L’opera deve essere corredata da un idoneo e pratico imballaggio, delle giuste dimensioni e peso per garantire poi i suoi trasporti successivi a mano.

>L’opera scelta per il progetto sarà un “neverendingworkinprogress”. Sappiamo quando e da dove parte l’opera, ma non sappiamo se e quando tornerà al proprio artista.

>L’artista invitato deve scegliere un altro artista e consegnargli l’opera ricevuta mentre consegnerà all’artista che lo ha contattato una propria opera. Sia l’artista invitato che l’artista scelto, dovranno avere in mano l’opera uno di uno e l’altro di un altro, così una volta che ognuno tornerà nel proprio studio o/ nella propria casa (se il primo di questi è nella medesima) e posizionarla al suo interno.

>L’artista invitato dovrà svolgere le stesse attività invitando un altro artista entro i 90 giorni successivi e così via.

>Esempio: L’artista A invita l’artista B. L’artista A va nello studio/casa dell’artista B, lascia la sua opera e torna a casa/studio con l’opera dell’artista B e scatta una foto. Nei successivi 90 giorni l’artista A e l’artista B dovranno trovare un altro artista. L’artista A scambierà l’opera dell’artista B con l’opera dell’artista C, e all’artista C rimarrà l’opera dell’artista B, mentre A tornerà in studio con l’opera di C.

>L’opera deve essere consegnata personalmente e a mano dall’artista.

>Deve essere presente una sola opera per ogni artista.

>L’opera ricevuta deve essere fotografata da ciascuno nel proprio spazio, come un documento, in modo che sia riconoscibile sia lo spazio che l’opera.

>La foto deve essere inviata all’indirizzo dedicato e sarà successivamente pubblicata sulla pagina del sito internet e facebook
dedicati, a documentazione dell’esposizione avvenuta e della conseguente mappatura delle opere.

>Ogni volta che un artista ne individua un altro da coinvolgere, deve comunicarne identità e indirizzo mail in moda che possa essergli inviato il regolamento per accettazione. Il regolamento non deve essere necessariamente firmato, ma nel momento di avvenuta conferma dall’artista, questo accetta il regolamento in ogni sua parte.

>un artista non può tenere in consegna l’opera ricevuta per più di 90 giorni. Entro tale limite deve coinvolgere un nuovo artista per un nuovo scambio.

>Il viaggio delle opere non ha limiti spaziali.

>Ogni responsabilità di perdita, danneggiamento, furto sono a carico dell’artista proprietario dell’opera.

>Ogni artista si impegna a rispettare il valore intrinseco dell’opera che riceve indipendentemente dalla sua rispondenza ai propri gusti e valori estetici.

>Gli artisti sono liberi di ritirarsi dal progetto in ogni momento, basterà segnalarlo via email. Mentre il ritiro dell’opera sarà a carico dell’artista. Project:

Change! is a project designed to map the network of art in which artists will choose each other in order to build up active web and live relationships. has the purpose to create a real map with virtual involvements, setting up a database of artists and artworks at the same time. Change!’s target is to make sure that artworks can be spread away, to create relationships far from usual places where artists are used to live. The maker will deliver the artwork he selected to a different artist by hand. These works might find new paths along their trip. The “hand-to-hand” swapping is crucial because it allows
artists to meet each other in familiar and cosy places, such
as an atelier or their own house, and offers them an
opportunity to share moments of mutual-knowledge. Every artist has to exchange his own work, shooting pictures
of the other’s art, in his house/lab, that is to say a private
place where the guest and his work can feel comfortable. Pictures contribute to collect and file the journey of the
works (this may help to place them in a real map, freely
reachable on the web). Every artist will get a folder on Change! webpage.

*Change! is a project with no connection to institutional,
promotional or merchant needs. It wants to enforce cooperation
and human relationships between artists.

*Change! wants to put artists and artworks on the web, giving
the players not only virtual but most of all emotional
visibility.

*Change! is a project that wants to be self-standing and
potentially open-ended. RULES:

>We ask the invited artists to be represented by newly created small/middle sized works or by existing collection pieces.

>The chosen artwork may be made in any material and shape, as long as it is made safe by the artist himself (frames, cases, devices); should not ask for complex and strange set-up.

>The artwork must be packed in appropriate and suitable way, right size and weight to ensure travels, hand after hand.

>The chosen artwork will be a “neverendingworkinprogress”. We know when and where the work will starts its tour but we never know if and when it will get back to its owner.

>The invited artist has to choose another performer to whom the work received in turn will be delivered. By the moment both artists will get hold of the handed-over work they will be ready to go back and expose it in their lab/home.

>The invited artist will have to manage the same activities involving a new performer in the next 90 days, and so on.

>Example: artist A invites artist B. Artist A goes and meets artist B to his lab/home, he leaves his work to him and gets back with artist B’s work to his lab/home where a picture will be shot. During the next 90 days artist A and artist B will have to look up for another performer. Afterwords artist A’s work will be switched from artist B to artist C while artist A will get in turn artist C’s work.

>The artwork must be handed over personally by the artist.

>Every artist can welcome one single work at the time.

>A photo of the received artwork has to be taken at the host’s place, as a record, in order to make both work and its owner known.

>The picture must be sent to an established email and it will be subsequently published on the Change! web site and page to record the event and subsequently the artworks mapping.

>Every time an artist involves another player, he has to advice the new performer identity and email address so that he can be informed about the regulation. The Regulation may not be necessarily undersigned because the artist confirmation is enough to consider it as agreed in every point.

>Every artist can’t keep a work with him for more than 90 days. During this period it has to involve another artist in a new exchange event.

>The artwork’s trip has no space limit.

>The artwork owner is responsible for any loss, damage or stealing giving proof of complete confidence that the artist that holds it at the moment will preserve and take care of it with maximum respect.

>Every artist is committed to respect the intrinsic value of

the artwork he receives regardless of personal tastes and aesthetic principles.

>Artists may leave the project whenever they want by sending an email. The artwork will be recovered by its maker.
