📚 this week, we got together to discuss A Year of Nothing by Emma Gannon.
It was a thought-provoking evening that sparked a conversation about burnout, the different ways we experience it, and how each of us finds our own way back to ourselves.
One of the things we particularly appreciated was the “Over to You” section at the end of each chapter: a series of questions inviting us to pause, reflect, and connect the book’s ideas to our own lives. Together with the five lessons at the end of the book, they serve as a gentle reminder that taking care of ourselves is not a luxury, but a necessity.
In a world that seems to be moving faster than ever, where the pressure to keep up and the fear of missing out (FOMO) have only intensified in the post-pandemic era, Emma Gannon invites us to slow down, embrace stillness, and rediscover what truly matters to us.
Because sometimes, doing nothing is exactly what we need. 💙
