💭 "On the long journey we took in the summer/autumn of 2022, each day I devoted a few minutes of my time to stop the spectrum, sound time, and document it with an image. An audiophoto.
I would search with my eyes closed. I would follow the tracks of sounds, voices, noises so that they would lead me to the right place to photograph.
I was interested in breaking the wall of the image. Everyone knows what the wall of sound is, it is an expression that has become part of common language but no one ever talks about the wall of image, the one that influences
our lives and our relationships on a daily basis. We are bombarded by images, even more so by moving images, which are true resolutions of the world. We rely on them by delegating our perception to them, and this enormous amount of visual information allows us to completely dispense with our other senses, plus it unimpeachably supplants our imagination.
What a bane! The sounds, smells, emotions that make up our perception of reality vanished into thin air, collapsed against the wall.
With these sound adventures of mine, by recording audio tracks using the binaural technique (thus achieving a shooting level that reproduces the three-dimensionality of acoustic perception), I offer you to fully enjoy your
imagination [...].

🍃 The narrative of the five-stage journey across Europe where residences and participatory creation experiences takes place through a replicable working method, with the goal of engaging people in an artistic open process that returns to the territory and the community the lived experience through a performance.

The document aims to share knowledge, connect people and artists, to find different approach to support an open creative process, filling a gap between digital and face-to-face interaction, governance and artistic cooperation model both in presence and distance, defining a kit of tools for a collaborative and participative process.
Seeking to focus on its symbolic significance as a fracture that divides space and interrupts the daily routine, the wall become an indication of a state of non-comfort that can spur action and imagination searching for new words and meanings. How can we move in the dark? How can we act hope through participatory artistic making? Where we could find a real and meaningful place for the We?

💿 Let's discover Wall Dialogue Resistance, a record by developed during the project conceived and directed by Sara Marasso and Stefano Risso.

The work consists of two single entities that coexist.
The second part consists in five part (2 Robilante, 4 Noviercas/Zaragoza, 6 Marsiglia, 8 Cagliari, 10 Matosinhos) of the musicianship (setting to music) of words and stories collected during the journey. The word is rich in meaning, but also in metalanguage that is not always overt. The rhythmic, melodic and harmonic content of the words is as poetic as it is not very obvious. And everything before and after the word, both as sound and meaning, can open up imaginaries that make one travel.

Today's extract concerns the first residence in Cagliari (Italy) from 24 to 30 September 2022, hosted by the partner . The topics addressed were port area, city trade and transit area, land/sea connection, co-habitation with Ukrainian, Belarusian, Chinese, Bangladeshi communities, stores.

👋 Let's meet the lead artists of the Wall Dialogue Resistance project.

Miriam Tello: "I combine teaching graphic design with multidisciplinary art and activism projects. I´m a founding member of the Hacendera Association (culture and territory) and La Casa de la Juana (art workshop in the Casino of Soria). I´m a member of Damas Juanas (Women in the Visual Arts of Castilla y León) and collaborate with the historical memory association Recuerdo y dignidad. I obtained the Landscape Scholarship from the Rodríguez Acosta Foundation in Granada and I´ve been selected and awarded in several plastic arts competitions and as a teacher I conceived and coordinated the project "Soria as a learning laboratory" awarded in "Creative Schools" by Ferran Adrià and Telefónica Foundation".

👋 Let's meet the lead artists of the Wall Dialogue Resistance project.

Sara Marasso starts to take an interest in dance as an opportunity to explore the body in its complexity: her training first, and her subsequent path as an author later, link theoretical study and practice of different movement techniques in a search for a contemporary language for the stage, in close relationship with other forms of artistic expression. Parallel to film studies, she began to take an interest in contemporary dance by meeting Anna Sagna, Monica Francia, Giorgio Rossi, Paola Bianchi in Turin. She continued her studies at the Laban Centre for Contemporary Dance in London and Paris, where she obtained a postgraduate diploma from the dance department of the Université Paris VIII. She delves into contemporary dance, contact and improvisation, body mind centering, Laban studies with Patricia Kyupers, Julyen Hamilton, Chaterine Diverrès, Wim Vandekeybus, Simone Sandroni, among others. He later met Iyengar yoga, which he has practiced since 2008 and which has an important influence on his artistic path. Over the years he has received critical acclaim and production support from public and private entities including original productions for the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, Torinodanza Festival, Autunno Danza Festival, and projects supported by Compagnia di San Paolo, Piemonte dal Vivo/Lavanderia a Vapore.
From 2019, she moves to Lisbon continuing her artistic activity between Italy, Portugal and in European and non-European projects, including the DDD Festival - Corpo + Cidade in Porto and the SESC Bienal Dança de São Paulo, Brazil in 2021.

💿 Let's discover Wall Dialogue Resistance, a record by Stefano Risso developed during the project conceived and directed by Sara Marasso and Stefano Risso.

The work consists of two single entities that coexist.
The first consists of five pieces (1 Nineta; 2 Robilante; 3 Toma, bonita, ven! 4 Noviercas/Zaragoza; 5 L'aigo de Roch) that arose from the collection of audio material encountered during the journey. Small fragments of melodies of traditional songs, the call to herd Jorge shepherd of Noviercas. These are all fragments that somehow speak of water, its power, its poetry, and the danger, the risks of water shortage or overabundance.

👋 Let's meet the lead artists of the Wall Dialogue Resistance project.

Rossana Mendes Fonseca has a degree in Photography from Paris Photographic Institute Spéos and a Masters in Artistic Studies - Art Theory and Criticism, from FBAUP, she did research at the Institute of Philosophy of University of Porto, in Aesthetics, Politics and Art for 7 years, that led to the current PhD in Contemporary Art, at the College of Arts of the University of Coimbra. As creative director, she is dedicated to her most recent project, VO**UR creative lab — a production laboratory of audiovisual and written content, which bridges the gap between emerging brands in the digital environment and creatives from different areas —, based at CRU creative hub, where she is also responsible for curating the exhibition space and editing content. She teaches practical and theoretical subjects in artistic and professional education, at Escola Artística Soares dos Reis and at Balleteatro Escola Profissional. Her work, both visual and written, focuses on the image, especially on the photographic image, rehearsing to think about it in its constant and rapid unfolding through time.
