PORTOFRANCO in Castelfranco Veneto has sparked conversation. Those who live and breathe art know that its value is not measured solely in numbers, but in its quality, in the perspectives it is able to open, and in the dialogues it can generate. Over the months of its opening, it transformed Palazzo Soranzo Novello from a historic site into a workshop of visions, bringing together the languages of Italian and international contemporary artists and building a bridge between memory and the present. The spaces became a ground for exchange, hosting workshops with schools and guided visits for diverse audiences. PORTOFRANCO was, above all, a shared experience: not merely a passing moment, but an opportunity for encounter and dialogue. The exhibition represented a first, genuine step toward a more defined role of Castelfranco Veneto within the contemporary art landscape: the beginning of a path that requires time to consolidate, grow, and generate new perspectives of visibility and dialogue.

La mostra PORTOFRANCO a Castelfranco Veneto ha fatto parlare di sé. Chi vive l’arte sa che il valore non si misura soltanto nei numeri, ma nella qualità, negli sguardi che riesce ad aprire e nei dialoghi che sa generare. Nei mesi di apertura ha trasformato Palazzo Soranzo Novello da luogo storico a cantiere di visioni, riunendo i linguaggi di artisti contemporanei italiani e internazionali e costruendo un ponte tra memoria e presente. Gli spazi si sono fatti terreno di confronto, di laboratori con scuole e visite per ogni gruppo di persone. PORTOFRANCO è stata, prima di tutto, esperienza condivisa: non semplice momento di passaggio, ma occasione di incontro e scambio. La mostra ha rappresentato un primo, autentico passo verso un ruolo più definito di Castelfranco Veneto nel panorama dell’arte contemporanea: l’inizio di un percorso che richiede tempo per consolidarsi, crescere e generare nuove prospettive di visibilità e dialogo.

PORTOFRANCO has come to an end. The exhibition was first and foremost a shared project, capable of activating relationships, crossings, and dialogues between places, works, and people. A journey that transformed the exhibition spaces of Palazzo Soranzo Novello and Museo Casa Giorgione into an open territory, where visitors played a central role—not only as an audience, but as a living part of the experience.
PORTOFRANCO was an exhibition shaped by encounters and participation, finding its meaning in the plurality of perspectives and in a shared willingness to engage in dialogue. A time and a space for reflection that brought together artists, institutions, professionals, and visitors, building an intense, collective, and temporary dimension.

What PORTOFRANCO has generated continues on through dialogue, relationships, and the traces it has left within the territory.

PORTOFRANCO si è conclusa.
La mostra è stata prima di tutto un progetto condiviso, capace di attivare relazioni, attraversamenti e dialoghi tra luoghi, opere e persone. Un percorso che ha trasformato gli spazi espositivi di Palazzo Soranzo Novello e Museo Casa Giorgione in un territorio aperto, dove i visitatori hanno avuto un ruolo centrale, non solo come pubblico ma come parte viva dell’esperienza.
PORTOFRANCO è stata una mostra fatta di incontri e partecipazione, che ha trovato senso nella pluralità degli sguardi e nella disponibilità al confronto. Un tempo e uno spazio di riflessione che ha messo in relazione artisti, istituzioni, professionisti e visitatori, costruendo una dimensione collettiva e temporanea intensa.

Ciò che ha generato PORTOFRANCO continua nel dialogo, nelle relazioni e nelle tracce lasciate nel territorio.

Today is the last day to visit PORTOFRANCO. After nearly three months, a rich journey comes to an end—marked by the responses received, the people involved, the shared events, the emotions that surfaced, the feedback gathered, and the dialogues set in motion, as well as by the open questions and perspectives that will continue to unfold over time.
Today, until 7:00 pm, it will still be possible to move through the halls of Palazzo Soranzo Novello, be surprised by steel in dialogue with the frescoes of Giorgione at the Museo Casa Giorgione, and walk through the spaces of the former bank while imagining what is yet to come.
A final opportunity to experience the project, linger in its spaces, and bid farewell to an experience that has activated visions, relationships, and new possibilities.

È l’ultimo giorno per visitare PORTOFRANCO. Dopo circa tre mesi si giunge alla conclusione di un percorso ricco: per le risposte ricevute, le persone coinvolte, gli appuntamenti condivisi, le emozioni emerse, i feedback raccolti e i dialoghi attivati, ma anche per le domande aperte e le prospettive che continueranno a svilupparsi nel tempo.

The wait is over: the final weekend of PORTOFRANCO is here.

From today through Sunday, from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, it will be possible to visit the spaces of Palazzo Soranzo Novello and Museo Casa Giorgione, where interventions by national and international artists enter into dialogue with the eighteenth-century rooms and the 1970s interiors. An intense and evocative journey that invites visitors to immerse themselves in suspended atmospheres, imbued with the memory of the place while at the same time open to new dialogues and contemporary perspectives.

Ultimo weekend per PORTOFRANCO a Castelfranco Veneto!

Dopo settimane di incontri, visite e momenti di confronto, la mostra si avvia alla conclusione, lasciando una traccia significativa nei luoghi che l’hanno accolta e nel pubblico che l’ha attraversata. Il progetto ha trasformato gli spazi espositivi della città in un territorio condiviso di dialogo e riflessione, costruendo un percorso diffuso e partecipato.
Le sedi saranno aperte oggi e domani, sabato 14 e domenica 15 febbraio dalle 10:00 alle 19:00. In occasione del fine settimana conclusivo è prevista una promozione speciale dedicata ai visitatori, un’opportunità ulteriore per prendere parte a queste ultime giornate di apertura.

È ufficiale: è arrivato anche l’ultimo weekend di PORTOFRANCO!
Da oggi fino a domenica, dalle ore 10.00 alle 19.00, sarà possibile visitare gli spazi di Palazzo Soranzo Novello e del Museo Casa Giorgione, dove gli interventi di artisti nazionali e internazionali dialogano con le stanze settecentesche e con gli ambienti degli anni Settanta. Un percorso intenso e suggestivo, che invita a immergersi in atmosfere sospese, intrise delle memorie del luogo e al tempo stesso aperte a nuovi dialoghi e prospettive contemporanee.

The performance “SENZA TITOLO” by VENERDISABATO unfolds across different areas of the Palazzo, engaging in a sonic dialogue with the space and seeking to traverse it through sound.
Moving through the rooms, Luca observes the artworks. Once he selects one, he stops and begins to freestyle - improvising verses and rhymes inspired by what the work evokes - speaking his words into a walkie-talkie. Sara, seated alone in another room with no visual access to the artwork, listens to Luca’s description via radio. When Luca ends with the signal “over,” Sara responds, attempting to guess the work he is describing.

The performance will take place at three different times on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 February: at 11:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.

La performance “SENZA TITOLO” dei VENERDISABATO si sviluppa in luoghi distinti del palazzo, dialogando con lo spazio, cercando di attraversarlo sonicamente. In giro per le stanze, Luca si muove e osserva le opere. Una volta scelta un’opera, Luca si ferma, fa freestyle creando barre e rime improvvisate a partire da ciò che l’opera suscita, indirizzando le sue parole nel walkie talkie. Sara, seduta invece in una stanza diversa, sola, senza possibilità di vedere in alcun modo l’opera di cui Luca parla, ascolta e riceve la descrizione via radio. Al segnale “passo” di Luca, Sara risponde, cercando di indovinare l’opera. In questo modo l’opera giunge a completamento attraverso i suoi “dati tecnici”, e il suo essere parola si propaga nello spazio del palazzo, invitando il visitatore a cercare l’origine del suono e l’opera appena descritta.

La performance si terrà in tre orari differenti nelle giornate di Venerdì 13 e Sabato 14 Febbraio: ore 11:00, ore 15:00, ore 18:00

Last week, in the spaces of Palazzo Soranzo Novello, artist Marco Bongiorni , in collaboration with the Rosselli Institute of Castelfranco Veneto and NABA – Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, led an art workshop for the fourth- and fifth-year classes of the Institute. The exhibition design and works of PORTOFRANCO were used as a starting point to explore contemporary drawing techniques and their multiple expressive possibilities. The workshop offered students the opportunity to closely observe the artist’s creative process, reflecting on the mark as a tool for research, narration, and experimentation. More than fifty students took part in an engaging dialogue, coming into direct contact with a practice that challenges traditional methodologies and invites a reconsideration of drawing as an open and collective space.

La settimana scorsa, negli spazi di Palazzo Soranzo Novello, l’artista Marco Bongiorni, in collaborazione con l’Istituto Rosselli di Castelfranco Veneto e con l’Accademia NABA di Milano, ha condotto un laboratorio artistico rivolto alle classi quarte e quinte dell’Istituto. L’allestimento e le opere della mostra PORTOFRANCO sono stati utilizzati come punto di partenza per approfondire la tecnica del disegno contemporaneo, indagandone le molteplici possibilità espressive. Il laboratorio ha offerto agli studenti l’opportunità di osservare da vicino il processo creativo dell’artista, riflettendo sul segno come strumento di ricerca, narrazione e sperimentazione. Più di cinquanta studenti hanno preso parte a un dialogo stimolante, entrando in contatto diretto con una pratica che mette in discussione le metodologie tradizionali e invita a ripensare il disegno come spazio aperto e collettivo.

An encounter dedicated to Venetian collecting and its cultural role within the region, between memory, vision, and responsibility.
