I am very satisfied with the success that the automata manual I wrote is achieving. I would like to thank all of you for your financial support, comments, and reviews. For my work, all of this is essential in order to exist.

This manual has also been an important opportunity for my personal growth. It is the first long text I have written, and it has taught me a lot. I had to learn how to express verbally concepts I already knew, and by writing them down I was able to analyze them more thoroughly. I learned how to design layouts and create more graphic illustrations than I usually do, how to use new programs I was previously unfamiliar with, such as InDesign, and, for the English translation, I learned dozens of new terms that were previously unknown to me.

Other people also contributed to the writing of the manual, and I thank them sincerely. Lara Ferro for her support, Amelia Capelli for proofreading the texts, Matteo Triani for advice on copyright matters, and Dave Goodchild for the photos of his wonderful automata.

I'm very proud to share this truly joyful experience with you. I was contacted last year by Professor Matthias Lübbe of the secondary school "Realschule auf dem Galgenberg" in Aalen, Baden-Württemberg (Germany), where students aged 10 to 14 took an extracurricular course called "Technik AG," where they learned to design and build an automaton. I simply offered my instructions and a small amount of inspiration; the students and dear Matthias worked excellently, giving me great satisfaction in seeing my work inspire new generations of inventors. I congratulate the school for offering these types of courses and tools, which I would have loved as a child; I congratulate Matthias for his teaching and kindness; and I congratulate all the students who created their works, demonstrating great talent and mastery of manual skills.

My first exhibition in the US. At Windgate museum of art at Hendrix college, you can see some of my works, along with many others by my colleagues, in an exhibition dedicated to kinetic art. It's a true honor and a great satisfaction for me to have achieved this goal, and I want to thank all the museum staff and visitors. For information, I recommend visiting the museum's website.
