इथेच टाका तंबू हे एका चोरीच्या घटनेतून विस्कळीत समाजाचे विविध पदर कसे उलगडले जातात, याचे उत्तम उदाहरण आहे. मुळात हे केवळ एक क्राईम ड्रामा (गुन्हेगारी नाटक) नसून, एकाच भांडवलशाही व्यवस्थेचे बळी ठरलेल्या दोन अनाथ व्यक्तींमधील संघर्ष आहे: एक घुसखोर आणि दुसरा लोकनायक. हे नाटक एका सखोल आंतरिक बदलाचा वेध घेते: जेव्हा जगण्यासाठी चोरी करणाऱ्या माणसाला जाणीव होते की, त्याने अशा जागेचे उल्लंघन केले आहे जी लोकांसाठी पवित्र आहे, तेव्हा काय घडते?"

ओंकार गोवर्धन आणि अश्विनी कासार यांनी झोपडपट्टीत राहणाऱ्या व हक्काच्या घराचे स्वप्न पाहणाऱ्या शोषितांचे प्रतिनिधित्व इतक्या ताकदीने केले आहे की, प्रेक्षक त्यांच्या वेदनेशी थेट जोडले जातात. या दाम्पत्याची सन्मानजनक आयुष्याची ओढ इतकी प्रबळ आहे की, त्यांनी निवडलेला चोरीचा मार्ग गुन्हा न वाटता अस्तित्वासाठी दिलेला लढा वाटतो; मात्र ज्या घरात चोरी केली तिथेच विवेकाने साद घातल्यामुळे झालेली मानसिक घालमेल आणि मनपरिवर्तन ओंकारने आपल्या अभिनयातून समर्थपणे उभे केले आहे.

तपासाच्या बाजूला अमेय बर्वे यांनी साकारलेला संयमी आणि तथ्यांवर बोट ठेवणारा इन्स्पेक्टर आणि उमेश जगताप यांचा हवालदार हे आजच्या समाजाचे दोन परस्परविरोधी चेहरे आहेत. उमेश जगताप यांनी साकारलेला हवालदार हा मोबाइलच्या 'रील्स'मध्ये अडकलेला, धर्म आणि राजकारणाच्या नावाखाली मेंदूचा ताबा गमावलेला आणि चोराला 'नक्षलवादी' ठरवून मोकळा होणारा असा आहे. अमेय बर्वे यांचा संतुलित अभिनय या गोंधळात एका वास्तवाची जाणीव करून देतो.

दत्ता पाटील यांची लेखणी आणि सचिन शिंदे यांचं दिग्दर्शन या नाटकातून एक वेगळीच उंची गाठतं. नाटकाची प्रकाशयोजना, नेपथ्य आणि संगीत यांमुळे प्रेक्षक केवळ नाटक पाहत नाहीत, तर त्या अनुभवाचा भाग होतात. 'हंडाभर'पासूनचा प्रगल्भ अनुभव या प्रयोगाच्या दोन्ही अंकांत जागोजागी जाणवतो. यशवंतराव चव्हाण महाराष्ट्र मुक्त विद्यापीठाच्या कुलगुरूंनी या प्रयोगाच्या पाठीशी उभं राहणं ही बाबच या नाटकाच्या सामाजिक गरजेवर शिक्कामोर्तब करते.
एका समृद्ध नाटकाचा अनुभव घेण्यासाठी आणि स्वतःमधील 'माणूस' शोधण्यासाठी हे नाटक प्रत्येकाने पाहायलाच हवे.

Ithech Taaka Tamboo is a masterclass in how a single incident of a robbery can peel back the layers of a fractured society. At its heart, this isn't just a crime drama; it is a confrontation between two orphans of the same capitalist system: the intruder and the icon. The play explores a profound internal shift: what happens when a man who steals to survive realizes he has violated a space held sacred by the people?

Omkar Govardhan and Ashwini Kasar deliver gut-wrenching performances as representatives of the oppressed. Living on the fringes of a slum, their dream of a "decent life" in a home of their own is so palpable that their choice to steal feels less like a crime and more like a survivalist manifesto. Govardhan captures the internal fracture of a man who has built a rigid value system around theft, only to have his confidence shaken by an unexpected call to his conscience within the very walls he broke into.

The investigation side offers a brilliant study in modern psychology. Amey Barve plays the Inspector with a grounded, fact-based sobriety that acts as the play's moral anchor. In stark contrast, Umesh Jagtap is phenomenal as the constable—a chillingly accurate portrayal of the "digitally brainwashed" masses. Through Jagtap’s character, we see a man influenced by viral reels and religious extremism, someone who sees the world through labels like "Naxalite" or "anti-establishment" rather than human reality.

In an industry often obsessed with commercial slapstick, writer Datta Patil and director Sachin Shinde take a bold leap. The scenography and music haunt the stage, creating a journey from a simple heist to a complex dialogue on systemic abandonment. This play doesn't just ask for your applause; it demands your growth as a human being.
