Is the atomic bomb truly a guarantee of our security, or is it a sword of destruction hanging over all humanity? Today, the major powers of the world consider nuclear weapons a symbol of their security, defense, and strength. It is often argued that the atomic bomb prevents war because no country is willing to risk facing total destruction in retaliation.
However, the reality is that these very weapons keep the world in constant fear, uncertainty, and on the brink of a third world war. A single wrong decision, a technical malfunction, or an emotional reaction could wipe out millions of lives within moments.
If, God forbid, a nuclear weapon were ever used, no country, no city, and no border would remain safe. Economies would collapse, the environment would be polluted, and future generations would suffer its consequences for centuries.
The question is not who possesses the atomic bomb; the real question is whether humanity can continue to live under such a threat. The time has come for the world to think not only about a balance of power, but about a balance of peace.

Ali Larijani, Iran's security chief, stated on Monday that the regime will not engage in negotiations with the United States. In a post on X, Larijani refuted a Wall Street Journal report claiming he was leading an initiative to hold talks with the United States, affirming that “we will not negotiate with the United States”. As the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Larijani has emerged as one of the most influential figures in the regime. However, he is not a member of the three-member interim council that has assumed control of Iran until the appointment of the next Supreme Leader. The interim council comprises President Masoud Pezeshkian, Judiciary head Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, and senior cleric Ayatollah Alireza Arafi.

India's Constitution had a long journey before being finalised, and it took the efforts of many individuals. BN Rau was one major figure behind it. He travelled to America and Europe to understand and discuss various aspects of law. As Constituional adviser to the Constituent Assembly of India, he penned the first draft.The drafting of the Constitution was one big task for policymakers back then. For the first time, the people of India would receive rights that had never existed before. Freedom had come, but freedom needed structure. It needed rules. BN Rau was the person behind that structure. Born on February 26, BN Rau not only invested immense effort in drafting the Constitution in a short time, but he had also contributed even before Indias independence, holding discussions with policymakers and lawyers across the world.
