Inner Voices – Self and Society

Every individual carries an inner world — a landscape of thoughts, emotions, memories, and aspirations that shapes how we see ourselves and respond to society. At the same time, we live within a larger social fabric influenced by culture, tradition, relationships, media, and collective expectations.

“Inner Voices – Self and Society” invites artists to explore this dialogue between personal identity and social reality. How does society shape our inner voice? How do we negotiate between what we truly feel and what the world expects? Through painting, artists are encouraged to interpret the theme in their own visual language — intimate or expressive, symbolic or narrative, abstract or figurative.

This initiative is conceptualised to encourage focused artistic engagement and the creation of a cohesive body of work, ultimately ready for a solo exhibition.

Submission Guidelines

Posting Dates

Artists must post one artwork on each of the following dates:

1 April, 11 April, and 21 April 2026

(Total: 3 artworks)

Where to Post

All entries must be posted in the HBAV Painting Competition group on Facebook:

Entries posted elsewhere will not be considered.

For Each Artwork

• 6 stages: 5 process images + 1 final completed image

• Mandatory details:

• Name

• Title

• Medium

• Size

• City

• Brief concept note

Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Awards

• Grand Prize: ₹1,00,000

(Award amount towards a Solo Exhibition)

• First Runner-Up: ₹50,000

(Award amount towards a Solo Exhibition)

Eligibility

• Age: 21–50 years

• Open only to Indian nationals residing in India

• Jury decision will be final and binding
