A quintessential Baithak with a special flavour: this was us celebrating World Book Day Sunday, 19th April 2026, at Empress Garden.
From fresh homemade cookies to cakes and cupcakes and cookies and biscuits and chips and sticks and so much more. It was a feast indeed!
Our Baithak Potluck Picnic was followed by our Mystery Book Exchange -- lovely picks by our members for each other, you could almost taste the excitement for literary surprise in the air.
From our Exchange we moved towards our special activity -- making bookmarks for each other. Creativity out, focus locked in, Baithak members came up with some truly remarkable designs and quotes fit for a reader. Again, the bookmarks were exchanged with the other side facing down, a surprise once again!

Thank you to everyone who participated on a beautiful Sunday morning and made it even more beautiful with their presence. See you next time!

This bookmarked was rather of a very compact kind. But hey! We still had a great time finding the right spot for one of the most silent Bookmarked sessions we have spent under the vile of the tall and dense sacred trees with birds chirping and wind whistling.
The post Bookmarked session toh was like a cherry on the top. Such beautiful discussions over slice of life, medicine and politics; all at one place! So grateful to have found such an audience who showed up and made this event extraaaaaa special and extraaaaaa memorable! With all my heart and soul, Thankyou!

Our Riverfront Baithak was a morning of ecological awareness bloomimg alongside music and poetry. We had the much needed talks on the importance of the Biodiversity Heritage Site (Botanical Garden, Ganeshkhind) by Sathya Natarajan, the people at and , and poet Sonali Rasal (). This was interspersed with the beauty of words and music spread by members of Baithak and Beyond. We were awestruck by the truly precious heritage of Pune's history and ecology at the Botanical Garden. Thank you to all who made this possible. This walk proved that we can come together to protect nature, to protect our future.

We are back with our sixth iteration of BOOKMARKED, a fortnightly silent session of reading books in solace and quiet.
