His grandfather was a renowned Kirtankar, but other than that he has no formal training in music. When Atul was in Mumbai, he took lessons in music and playing the harmonium from Shubhangi Date. Post that, he worked at a recording studio for some months before his very first song "Angai" released. e of this song. He is the person behind "Double nahi mi tar single" which was sung by Rohit Raut and which released on 14th February. "Drushtikon", a short movie for which he gave a background score, did not just get nominated for the short film contest by Yes Foundation, he won the award. Currently he is working on a movie and a couple of video songs. "Tatwa" which was directed by Arun Nalawade, has music composed by Atul-Prashant and has Shripad Bhole as the lyricist. It was produced by Sharayu Arts Production which is helmed by Dr. Sharayu Pazare. The songs are sung by Yogita Godbole, Savani Ravindra, Keval Walanj, Prasad Shukl and Atul Bhalchandra Joshi. More than this, he has done various other short films like Pinjra, Paat, Angai, Dron, Kahur, Golden Toilet and various others. He has learnt how to sing while playing the harmonium and composes heart touching music without having a formal training for the same.
