Saudi Arabia Deports Nearly 15,000 Expatriates in One Week Amid Intensified Crackdowns

Saudi authorities have deported 14,916 expatriates in just one week as part of strengthened nationwide inspections targeting residency, labor, and border violations.

According to official reports, between November 6 and 12, joint security operations across the Kingdom led to the arrest of 22,156 individuals involved in various violations. The campaign reflects Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts to enhance public safety, regulate the labor market, and enforce legal residency requirements.

Authorities emphasized that inspections will continue, urging residents and employers to comply with all laws to avoid penalties.

Dubai has announced an ambitious $5 billion project — a Moon-shaped resort that could open by 2027. The futuristic sphere, designed by Canada’s Moon World Resorts, will feature 4,000 luxury suites and 300 private “Sky Villas”, complete with exclusive membership privileges. Inside, guests can experience a lunar colony simulation, a 10,000-seat arena, nightclubs, spas, and even STEM education hubs.

Although some reports exaggerated its size, the project will not be taller than the Burj Khalifa (828 m). Instead, the Moon resort is planned at around 224 meters tall, still making it one of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks in the making.

If approved, this massive orb will combine luxury, science, and space exploration — bringing the Moon down to Earth in Dubai’s skyline.
