Formed in 2005, the Superfuzz are an alternative rock band that broke out of the fledgling Delhi independent music scene, instantly establishing themselves as one of the city's leading alternative acts. The band, with their uncanny ability to write radio friendly, power pop tunes, shot to fame when they won the Channel [V] Launchpad competition, earning some well-deserved critical acclaim. Compris
ing of Sanchal Malhar (Vocals, Guitar), Nikhil Rufus Raj (Bass) and Aditya Paharia (Drums), Superfuzz have enthralled audiences across the country with their mesmerizing live-sets. In 2008, the Superfuzz were selected to be a part of the British Council's 'Soundpad' project, which gave the band the opportunity to work alongside John Leckie (Producer, Abbey Road Studios), one of the world's leading music producers. John, who has previously worked alongside artists such as John Lennon, Pink Floyd and Radiohead, helped produce 'Sing To Me' and 'Irresistible'. Later that year, the Superfuzz announced that they were on an indefinite hiatus, due to Aditya's decision to move overseas. In April 2014, with whispers of an impending reunion spreading across the scene, the Superfuzz announced their return with a one-off performance at Turquoise Cottage, Delhi, playing a balls-to-the-wall set that left their audience asking for more. They also played a smashing set at the Converse Rubber Tracks finale that left people absolutely ecstatic. The band released their debut EP “Inner City Waster” late November and are currently looking at smashing people with some of the old, and some of the new. Stay tuned, or you will miss the Fuzzride!
