The Making of Sonare 2026.

Every year, Sonare begins long before the first note is played on stage. This year, the vision was clear from the very beginning - let the music be the loudest thing in the room.

The candlelight concept became the foundation for everything. Instead of building the event around loud visuals, large stage elements or excessive branding, we intentionally chose restraint. The venue itself gave us beautiful white windows, soft natural light and flowing white curtains, and we decided to let those elements do the talking.

For the technical setup, we opted for slim speakers and a cleaner setup that blended into the environment instead of dominating it. Every decision was taken with the intention of keeping the space visually uncluttered.

Behind the scenes, there were weeks of planning, coordinating registrations, planning rehearsal schedules, communicating with parents, students, performers and vendors, managing timelines, building the performance flow, coordinating with the band, figuring out backstage movement and ensuring that transitions happened smoothly. These are often the invisible parts of an event, but they are what allow the visible parts to shine.

Rather than creating an elaborate food setup for hospitality, we curated a simple, elegant high-tea experience that felt warm and welcoming. Everything was handled in-house, keeping the offering refined, thoughtful and aligned with the overall mood of the evening.

One of the things we are most proud of this year was our conscious effort towards sustainability. Instead of printing traditional brochures that are often glanced at once and discarded, we replaced them with digital recital cards. We also curated sustainable gift bags for participants and guests.

And perhaps the best compliment an event can receive is when people only remember how it made them feel.

Exactly as we had imagined it.

We’re excited to welcome Slingshot Swing for House of Jive, and welcome Prekshaa & Sam as our special guests for the evening.

One of the things we love most about House of Jive is collaborating with people across the dance community and bringing the experience of live music to as many people as possible. There’s something special about moving together to music played in the moment and we’re excited to create that experience with more people this time around.

Come dance. Come connect. Come for the rock ’n’ roll. 🎸

House of Jive and what a night that turned out to be.

On March 26, we took over Escobar, Bandra with a simple idea, what if you could jive to a live rock ’n’ roll band?
And safe to say, it worked.

With Somewhere Good bringing classic rock ’n’ roll to life on stage, and Lysandra & Leron getting everyone on their feet, the space quickly turned into something else entirely. A live gig that turned into a dance floor, with people actually letting go and having a good time.

Over 100 of you showed up. Some dancing for the first time, some just curious, some fully in it but by the end, everyone was on the floor. And that’s what made the night.

A fresh format, a new kind of energy, and a very strong start.

We built this as a premiere, and if this is how it begins, we know where it’s going.

House of Jive is here. And we’re just getting warmed up!

A tightly planned shoot with a very clear outcome in mind.

We recently conceptualised and executed a full-scale photoshoot for the band we manage, Somewhere Good, spanning all three of their live verticals: Rock ’n’ Roll, Tribute, and Duo. An indoor studio setup, 64 costume changes across 7 individuals, and multiple configurations covering group shots, duos, and solo frames, all planned and wrapped within 4 hours of studio time.

Every segment was designed with a clear objective: to build a strong, serious visual identity for the band. These are good-looking images, but more importantly these are assets created to work across gig posters, listings, press kits, and promotions, helping position the band with clarity and credibility.

A special shoutout to Tanaya Pande, photographer and creative director for the shoot, for bringing precision, pace, and a clear visual language to the process and Abhispita Dutta, who supported the shoot on ground, helping maintain flow throughout the day.

There was a lot of fun, movement, and energy on set, but also structure, timelines, and focused ex*****on.
